ಆಗ ಅವರು ಅವ ನಿಗೆ--ನೀನು ಯಾರು? ನಮ್ಮನ್ನು ಕಳುಹಿಸಿದವರಿಗೆ ನಾವು ಉತ್ತರ ಹೇಳುವಂತೆ ನೀನು ನಿನ್ನ ವಿಷಯದಲ್ಲಿ ಏನು ಹೇಳುತ್ತೀ ಎಂದು ಕೇಳಿದರು.

Aaga avaru ava nige--neenu yaaru? Nammannu kaluhisidavarige naavu uttara heluvante neenu ninna vishayadalli enu heluttee endu kelidaru.

20ಅವನು ಒಪ್ಪಿಕೊಂಡನು. ಅಲ್ಲಗಳೆಯಲಿಲ್ಲ; ಅವನು--ನಾನು ಕ್ರಿಸ್ತನಲ್ಲ ಎಂದು ಒಪ್ಪಿಕೊಂಡನು.
21ಅದಕ್ಕವರು--ಹಾಗಾದರೇನು? ನೀನು ಎಲೀಯನೋ ಎಂದು ಕೇಳಿದರು. ಅದಕ್ಕೆ ಅವನು--ನಾನಲ್ಲ ಅಂದನು. ಅವರು ನೀನು ಆ ಪ್ರವಾದಿಯೋ ಎಂದು ಕೇಳಿದ್ದಕ್ಕೆ ಅವನು--ಅಲ್ಲ ಎಂದು ಉತ್ತರಕೊಟ್ಟನು.
22ಆಗ ಅವರು ಅವ ನಿಗೆ--ನೀನು ಯಾರು? ನಮ್ಮನ್ನು ಕಳುಹಿಸಿದವರಿಗೆ ನಾವು ಉತ್ತರ ಹೇಳುವಂತೆ ನೀನು ನಿನ್ನ ವಿಷಯದಲ್ಲಿ ಏನು ಹೇಳುತ್ತೀ ಎಂದು ಕೇಳಿದರು.
23ಅವನು--ಕರ್ತನ ದಾರಿಯನ್ನು ನೆಟ್ಟಗೆ ಮಾಡಿರಿ ಎಂದು ಅಡವಿ ಯಲ್ಲಿ ಕೂಗುವ ಒಬ್ಬನ ಶಬ್ದವದೆ ಎಂದು ಪ್ರವಾದಿ ಯಾದ ಯೆಶಾಯನು ಹೇಳಿದ ಶಬ್ದವೇ ನಾನು ಎಂದು ಉತ್ತರಕೊಟ್ಟನು.
24ಕಳುಹಿಸಲ್ಪಟ್ಟವರು ಫರಿಸಾಯರ ಕಡೆಯವರಾಗಿದ್ದರು.
