ಯೇಸು ಇನ್ನೂ ಊರೊಳಕ್ಕೆ ಬಾರದೆ ಮಾರ್ಥಳು ಆತನನ್ನು ಸಂಧಿಸಿದ ಸ್ಥಳದಲ್ಲಿಯೇ ಇದ್ದನು.

28ಆಕೆಯು ಹೀಗೆ ಹೇಳಿದ ಮೇಲೆ ಹೊರಟು ಹೋಗಿ ತನ್ನ ಸಹೋದರಿಯಾದ ಮರಿಯಳನ್ನು ಗುಪ್ತ ವಾಗಿ ಕರೆದು--ಬೋಧಕನು ಬಂದಿದ್ದಾನೆ, ನಿನ್ನನ್ನು ಕರೆಯುತ್ತಾನೆ ಅಂದಳು.
29ಆಕೆಯು ಇದನ್ನು ಕೇಳಿದ ಕೂಡಲೆ ತಟ್ಟನೆ ಎದ್ದು ಆತನ ಬಳಿಗೆ ಬಂದಳು.
30ಯೇಸು ಇನ್ನೂ ಊರೊಳಕ್ಕೆ ಬಾರದೆ ಮಾರ್ಥಳು ಆತನನ್ನು ಸಂಧಿಸಿದ ಸ್ಥಳದಲ್ಲಿಯೇ ಇದ್ದನು.
31ಮನೆ ಯಲ್ಲಿ ಆಕೆಯ ಕೂಡ ಇದ್ದು ಆಕೆಯನ್ನು ಆದರಿಸುತ್ತಿದ್ದ ಯೆಹೂದ್ಯರು ಆಕೆಯು ತಟ್ಟನೆ ಎದ್ದು ಹೊರಗೆ ಹೋಗುವದನ್ನು ನೋಡಿ--ಆಕೆಯು ಅಳುವದಕ್ಕಾಗಿ ಸಮಾಧಿಯ ಬಳಿಗೆ ಹೋಗುತ್ತಾಳೆಂದು ತಿಳಿದು ಆಕೆ ಯನ್ನು ಹಿಂಬಾಲಿಸಿದರು.
32ತರುವಾಯ ಯೇಸು ಇದ್ದ ಸ್ಥಳಕ್ಕೆ ಮರಿಯಳು ಬಂದು ಆತನನ್ನು ಕಂಡು ಆತನ ಪಾದಗಳಿಗೆ ಬಿದ್ದು ಆತನಿಗೆ--ಕರ್ತನೇ, ನೀನು ಇಲ್ಲಿ ಇರುತ್ತಿದ್ದರೆ ನನ್ನ ಸಹೋದರನು ಸಾಯುತ್ತಿರಲಿಲ್ಲ ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿದಳು.
