ಆಗ ಅವರು ಯೇಸುವನ್ನು ಹುಡುಕು ವವರಾಗಿ ದೇವಾಲಯದಲ್ಲಿ ನಿಂತುಕೊಂಡಿದ್ದಾಗ--ಆತನು ಹಬ್ಬಕ್ಕೆ ಬರುವದಿಲ್ಲವೋ? ನಿಮಗೆ ಹೇಗೆ ಕಾಣುತ್ತದೆ ಎಂದು ತಮ್ಮತಮ್ಮೊಳಗೆ ಮಾತನಾಡಿ ಕೊಂಡರು.ಆಗ ಪ್ರಧಾನಯಾಜಕರೂ ಫರಿಸಾಯ ರೂ ಆತನನ್ನು ಹಿಡಿಯುವಂತೆ ಆತನಿರುವ ಸ್ಥಳವು ಯಾರಿಗಾದರೂ ತಿಳಿದರೆ ಅವರು ತಮಗೆ ತೋರಿಸ ಬೇಕೆಂದು ಅಪ್ಪಣೆ ಕೊಟ್ಟಿದ್ದರು.

55ಆಗ ಯೆಹೂದ್ಯರ ಪಸ್ಕವು ಹತ್ತಿರವಾಗಿತ್ತು; ಅನೇಕರು ತಮ್ಮನ್ನು ಶುದ್ಧಿ ಮಾಡಿಕೊಳ್ಳುವದಕ್ಕೋಸ್ಕರ ಪಸ್ಕಕ್ಕೆ ಮುಂಚೆ ಹಳ್ಳಿಗಳಿಂದ ಯೆರೂಸಲೇಮಿಗೆ ಹೋದರು.
