ಆತನು ಪಾರಿವಾಳ ಮಾರುವ ವರಿಗೆ--ಇವುಗಳನ್ನು ಇಲ್ಲಿಂದ ತಕ್ಕೊಂಡು ಹೋಗಿರಿ; ನನ್ನ ತಂದೆಯ ಮನೆಯನ್ನು ವ್ಯಾಪಾರದ ಮನೆಯ ನ್ನಾಗಿ ಮಾಡಬೇಡಿರಿ ಅಂದನು.

Aatanu paarivaala maaruva varige--ivugalannu illinda takkondu hogiri; nanna tandeya maneyannu vyaapaarada maneya nnaagi maadabediri andanu.

14ದೇವಾಲಯದಲ್ಲಿ ಎತ್ತು ಕುರಿ ಪಾರಿವಾಳ ಇವುಗಳನ್ನು ಮಾರುವವ ರನ್ನೂ ಹಣ ಬದಲಾಯಿಸುವವರು ಕೂತಿರುವದನೂ ಕಂಡನು;
15ಆಗ ಆತನು ಸಣ್ಣ ಹಗ್ಗಗಳಿಂದ ಕೊರಡೆ ಮಾಡಿ ಕುರಿ ಎತ್ತು ಸಹಿತ ಎಲ್ಲರನ್ನೂ ದೇವಾಲಯದ ಹೊರಕ್ಕೆ ಅಟ್ಟಿ ಚಿನಿವಾರರ ಹಣವನ್ನು ಚೆಲ್ಲಿ ಮೇಜು ಗಳನ್ನು ಕೆಡವಿದನು.
16ಆತನು ಪಾರಿವಾಳ ಮಾರುವ ವರಿಗೆ--ಇವುಗಳನ್ನು ಇಲ್ಲಿಂದ ತಕ್ಕೊಂಡು ಹೋಗಿರಿ; ನನ್ನ ತಂದೆಯ ಮನೆಯನ್ನು ವ್ಯಾಪಾರದ ಮನೆಯ ನ್ನಾಗಿ ಮಾಡಬೇಡಿರಿ ಅಂದನು.
17ಆಗ ಆತನ ಶಿಷ್ಯರು--ನಿನ್ನ ಆಲಯದ ಆಸಕ್ತಿಯು ನನ್ನನ್ನು ದಹಿಸಿ ಬಿಟ್ಟಿದೆ ಎಂದು ಬರೆದಿರುವದನ್ನು ಜ್ಞಾಪಕಮಾಡಿ ಕೊಂಡರು.
18ಆಗ ಯೆಹೂದ್ಯರು ಆತನಿಗೆ--ನೀನು ಇವುಗಳನ್ನು ಮಾಡುವದಕ್ಕೆ ಯಾವ ಸೂಚಕಕಾರ್ಯ ವನ್ನು ನಮಗೆ ತೋರಿಸುತ್ತೀ ಎಂದು ಕೇಳಿದರು.
