ಫರಿಸಾಯರಲ್ಲಿ ಯೆಹೂದ್ಯರ ಅಧಿಕಾರಿ ಯಾದ ನಿಕೊದೇಮನೆಂಬ ಒಬ್ಬ ಮನುಷ್ಯ ನಿದ್ದನು.

- 3ಯೇಸು ಪ್ರತ್ಯುತ್ತರವಾಗಿ ಅವನಿಗೆ--ನಾನು ನಿನಗೆ ನಿಜನಿಜವಾಗಿ ಹೇಳುತ್ತೇನೆ, ಒಬ್ಬನು ತಿರಿಗಿ ಹುಟ್ಟದಿದ್ದರೆ ಅವನು ದೇವರ ರಾಜ್ಯವನ್ನು ನೋಡಲಾರನು ಅಂದನು.
