2. 38ಯೆಹೋಶುವನು ಸಮಸ್ತ ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲಿನ ಕೂಡ ದೆಬೀರಕ್ಕೆ ತಿರುಗಿಕೊಂಡು ಅದರ ಮೇಲೆ ಯುದ್ಧಮಾಡಿ
3. 39ಅದನ್ನೂ ಅದರ ಅರಸನನ್ನೂ ಸಮಸ್ತ ಪಟ್ಟಣ ಗಳನ್ನೂ ಹಿಡಿದು ಅವುಗಳನ್ನು ಕತ್ತಿಯಿಂದ ಹೊಡೆದು ಅದರಲ್ಲಿರುವ ಸಮಸ್ತ ಪ್ರಾಣಗಳನ್ನು ಒಬ್ಬನನ್ನಾ ದರೂ ಉಳಿಸದೆ ಸಂಪೂರ್ಣ ನಾಶಮಾಡಿದನು. ಹೆಬ್ರೋನಿಗೂ ಲಿಬ್ನಕ್ಕೂ ಅದರ ಅರಸನಿಗೂ ಮಾಡಿದ ಹಾಗೆಯೇ ದೆಬೀರಕ್ಕೂ ಅದರ ಅರಸನಿಗೂ ಮಾಡಿದನು.
4. 40ಹೀಗೆ ಯೆಹೋಶುವನು ಸಮಸ್ತ ಬೆಟ್ಟಗಳ ದೇಶವನ್ನೂ ತೆಂಕಣ ದೇಶವನ್ನೂ ತಗ್ಗಿನ ದೇಶವನ್ನೂ ನೀರು ಬುಗ್ಗೆಗಳ ದೇಶವನ್ನೂ ಅವುಗಳ ಅರಸು ಗಳೆಲ್ಲರನ್ನೂ ಒಬ್ಬನನ್ನಾದರೂ ಉಳಿಸದೆ ಹೊಡೆದು ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲಿನ ದೇವರಾದ ಕರ್ತನು ಆಜ್ಞಾಪಿಸಿದ ಹಾಗೆಯೇ ಶ್ವಾಸವುಳ್ಳದ್ದನ್ನೆಲ್ಲಾ ಸಂಪೂರ್ಣವಾಗಿ ನಾಶ ಮಾಡಿದನು.
5. 41ಯೆಹೋಶುವನು ಕಾದೇಶ್‌ ಬರ್ನೇಯದಿಂದ ಗಾಜದ ವರೆಗೂ ಇರುವವರನ್ನೂ ಗೋಷೆನಿನ ಸಮಸ್ತ ದೇಶವನ್ನೂ ಗಿಬ್ಯೋನಿನ ವರೆಗೆ ಹೊಡೆದುಬಿಟ್ಟನು.
