ಅವರ ಯಾಜಕನಾದ ಎಲ್ಲಾಜಾರನೂ ನೂನನ ಮಗನಾದ ಯೆಹೋಶುವನೂ ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲ್‌ ಮಕ್ಕಳ ಗೋತ್ರಗಳ ತಂದೆಗಳ ಮುಖ್ಯಸ್ಥರೂ ಅವರಿಗೆ ಬಾಧ್ಯತೆಯಾಗಿ ಕೊಡಲು ಕಾನಾನ್‌ ದೇಶದಲ್ಲಿ ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲ್‌ ಮಕ್ಕಳು ಬಾಧ್ಯ ವಾಗಿ ಹೊಂದಿದ ದೇಶಗಳು ಇವೇ.

3ಮೋಶೆಯು ಯೊರ್ದನಿಗೆ ಆಚೆ ಎರಡುವರೆ ಗೋತ್ರಗಳಿಗೆ ಬಾಧ್ಯತೆಯನ್ನು ಕೊಟ್ಟಿದ್ದನು. ಆದರೆ ಲೇವಿಯರಿಗೆ ಯಾವ ಬಾಧ್ಯತೆಯನ್ನೂ ಕೊಡಲಿಲ್ಲ;
