1. 20ಆಗ ಆಕಾನನು ಯೆಹೋಶುವನಿಗೆ ಪ್ರತ್ಯುತ್ತರವಾಗಿ--ನಿಜವಾಗಿ ನಾನು ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲ್‌ ದೇವರಾದ ಕರ್ತನಿಗೆ ವಿರೋಧವಾಗಿ ಪಾಪಮಾಡಿ ಇಂತಿಂಥವುಗಳನ್ನು ಮಾಡಿದ್ದೇನೆ.
2. 21ಏನಂದರೆ, ನಾನು ಕೊಳ್ಳೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಬಾಬೆಲಿನ ಒಂದು ಒಳ್ಳೇ ನಿಲುವಂಗಿಯನ್ನೂ ಇನ್ನೂರು ಬೆಳ್ಳಿ ಶೇಕೆಲುಗಳನ್ನೂ ಐವತ್ತು ಶೇಕೆಲ್‌ ತೂಕವಾದ ಒಂದು ಬಂಗಾರದ ಗಟ್ಟಿಯನ್ನೂ ಕಂಡು ಅವುಗಳನ್ನು ಆಶಿಸಿ ತೆಗೆದುಕೊಂಡೆನು; ಇಗೋ, ಅವುಗಳನ್ನು ನನ್ನ ಗುಡಾರದ ಮಧ್ಯದಲ್ಲಿ ನೆಲದೊಳಗೆ ಬಚ್ಚಿಟ್ಟಿದ್ದೇನೆ; ಬೆಳ್ಳಿಯೂ ಅದರ ಕೆಳಗೆ ಇದೆ ಅಂದನು.
3. 22ಆಗ ಯೆಹೋಶುವನು ದೂತರನ್ನು ಕಳುಹಿಸಿದನು; ಅವರು ಡೇರೆಗಳಿಗೆ ಓಡಿದರು; ಇಗೋ, ಡೇರೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಅವು ಬಚ್ಚಿಡಲ್ಪಟ್ಟಿದ್ದವು; ಬೆಳ್ಳಿಯು ಅದರ ಕೆಳಗೆ ಇತ್ತು.
4. 23ಅವರು ಅವುಗಳನ್ನು ಡೇರೆಯ ಮಧ್ಯದಿಂದ ತೆಗೆದುಕೊಂಡು ಯೆಹೋಶುವನ ಬಳಿಗೂ ಸಮಸ್ತ ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲ್‌ ಮಕ್ಕಳ ಬಳಿಗೂ ತಂದು ಕರ್ತನ ಮುಂದೆ ಇಟ್ಟರು.
5. 24ಆಗ ಯೆಹೋಶುವನೂ ಅವ ನೊಂದಿಗೆ ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲ್ಯರೆಲ್ಲರೂ ಜೆರಹನ ಮಗನಾದ ಆಕಾನನನ್ನೂ ಆ ಬೆಳ್ಳಿಯನ್ನೂ ವಸ್ತ್ರವನ್ನೂ ಬಂಗಾರದ ಗಟ್ಟಿಯನ್ನೂ ಅವನ ಕುಮಾರರನ್ನೂ ಕುಮಾರ್ತೆಯ ರನ್ನೂ ಅವನ ಎತ್ತುಗಳನ್ನೂ ಕತ್ತೆಗಳನ್ನೂ ಕುರಿಗಳನ್ನೂ ಅವನ ಡೇರೆಯನ್ನೂ ಅವನಿಗಿದ್ದ ಸಮಸ್ತವನ್ನೂ ತೆಗೆದುಕೊಂಡು ಆಕೋರಿನ ತಗ್ಗಿಗೆ ತಂದರು.
