ಅವರು ಅವುಗಳನ್ನು ಡೇರೆಯ ಮಧ್ಯದಿಂದ ತೆಗೆದುಕೊಂಡು ಯೆಹೋಶುವನ ಬಳಿಗೂ ಸಮಸ್ತ ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲ್‌ ಮಕ್ಕಳ ಬಳಿಗೂ ತಂದು ಕರ್ತನ ಮುಂದೆ ಇಟ್ಟರು.

- 22ಆಗ ಯೆಹೋಶುವನು ದೂತರನ್ನು ಕಳುಹಿಸಿದನು; ಅವರು ಡೇರೆಗಳಿಗೆ ಓಡಿದರು; ಇಗೋ, ಡೇರೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಅವು ಬಚ್ಚಿಡಲ್ಪಟ್ಟಿದ್ದವು; ಬೆಳ್ಳಿಯು ಅದರ ಕೆಳಗೆ ಇತ್ತು.

- 24ಆಗ ಯೆಹೋಶುವನೂ ಅವ ನೊಂದಿಗೆ ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲ್ಯರೆಲ್ಲರೂ ಜೆರಹನ ಮಗನಾದ ಆಕಾನನನ್ನೂ ಆ ಬೆಳ್ಳಿಯನ್ನೂ ವಸ್ತ್ರವನ್ನೂ ಬಂಗಾರದ ಗಟ್ಟಿಯನ್ನೂ ಅವನ ಕುಮಾರರನ್ನೂ ಕುಮಾರ್ತೆಯ ರನ್ನೂ ಅವನ ಎತ್ತುಗಳನ್ನೂ ಕತ್ತೆಗಳನ್ನೂ ಕುರಿಗಳನ್ನೂ ಅವನ ಡೇರೆಯನ್ನೂ ಅವನಿಗಿದ್ದ ಸಮಸ್ತವನ್ನೂ ತೆಗೆದುಕೊಂಡು ಆಕೋರಿನ ತಗ್ಗಿಗೆ ತಂದರು.
- 25ಆಗ ಯೆಹೋಶುವನು ಅವನಿಗೆ--ನೀನು ನಮ್ಮನ್ನು ತೊಂದರೆ ಪಡಿಸಿದ್ದೇನು? ಇಂದು ಕರ್ತನು ನಿನ್ನನ್ನು ತೊಂದರೆ ಪಡಿಸುವನು ಅಂದನು. ಆಗ ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲ್ಯ ರೆಲ್ಲರೂ ಅವನ ಮೇಲೆ ಕಲ್ಲೆಸೆದರು. ತರುವಾಯ ಬೆಂಕಿಯಿಂದ ಅವರನ್ನು ಸುಟ್ಟುಬಿಟ್ಟುಅವರ ಮೇಲೆ ಕಲ್ಲು ಕುಪ್ಪೆ ಕೂಡಿಸಿದರು. ಅದು ಈ ದಿನದ ವರೆಗೂ ಇದೆ. ಆಗ ಕರ್ತನು ತನ್ನ ಕೋಪದ ಉರಿಯನ್ನು ಬಿಟ್ಟು ತಿರುಗಿದನು; ಆದದರಿಂದ ಆ ಸ್ಥಳವು ಈ ವರೆಗೂ ಆಕೋರಿನ ತಗ್ಗೆಂದು ಕರೆಯಲ್ಪಡುವದು.
