ನಾವು ದ್ರಾಕ್ಷಾರಸ ತುಂಬುವಾಗ ಈ ಬುದ್ದಲಿಗಳು ಹೊಸವಾಗಿದ್ದವು. ಇಗೋ, ಅವು ಹರಿದುಹೋದವು. ಇದಲ್ಲದೆ ಪ್ರಯಾಣ ಬಹಳ ದೂರವಾದದರಿಂದ ಈ ನಮ್ಮ ವಸ್ತ್ರಗಳೂ ನಮ್ಮ ಕೆರಗಳೂ ಹಳೇವಾದವು ಅಂದರು.

11ನಮ್ಮ ಹಿರಿಯರೂ ನಮ್ಮ ದೇಶ ನಿವಾಸಿಗಳಾದ ಜನರೆಲ್ಲರೂ ನಮಗೆ ಹೇಳಿದ್ದೇ ನಂದರೆ--ನೀವು ಪ್ರಯಾಣಕ್ಕಾಗಿ ರೊಟ್ಟಿಯನ್ನು ತೆಗೆದು ಕೊಂಡು ಅವರೆದುರಿಗೆ ಹೋಗಿ ಅವರಿಗೆ--ನಾವು ನಿಮ್ಮ ಸೇವಕರು; ಆದಕಾರಣ ಈಗ ನಮ್ಮ ಸಂಗಡ ಒಡಂಬಡಿಕೆ ಮಾಡಿರಿ ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿರಿ ಅಂದರು.
12ನಾವು ನಿಮ್ಮ ಬಳಿಗೆ ಹೊರಟ ದಿನದಲ್ಲಿ ನಮ್ಮ ಪ್ರಯಾಣಕ್ಕೆ ಮನೆಯಿಂದ ಬಿಸಿ ರೊಟ್ಟಿಗಳನ್ನು ತೆಗೆದು ಕೊಂಡಿದ್ದೆವು; ಆದರೆ ಈಗ ಅವು ಒಣಗಿಹೋಗಿವೆ.
13ನಾವು ದ್ರಾಕ್ಷಾರಸ ತುಂಬುವಾಗ ಈ ಬುದ್ದಲಿಗಳು ಹೊಸವಾಗಿದ್ದವು. ಇಗೋ, ಅವು ಹರಿದುಹೋದವು. ಇದಲ್ಲದೆ ಪ್ರಯಾಣ ಬಹಳ ದೂರವಾದದರಿಂದ ಈ ನಮ್ಮ ವಸ್ತ್ರಗಳೂ ನಮ್ಮ ಕೆರಗಳೂ ಹಳೇವಾದವು ಅಂದರು.
14ಆಗ ಇವರು ಕರ್ತನಿಂದ ಆಲೋಚನೆ ಯನ್ನು ಕೇಳದೆ ಅವರ ಆಹಾರದಲ್ಲಿ ತೆಗೆದುಕೊಂಡರು.
15ಯೆಹೋಶುವನು ಅವರ ಸಂಗಡ ಸಮಾಧಾನ ಮಾಡಿಕೊಂಡು ಅವರನ್ನು ಜೀವದಿಂದ ಇರಿಸುವದಕ್ಕೆ ಅವರ ಸಂಗಡ ಒಡಂಬಡಿಕೆ ಮಾಡಿದನು. ಇದಲ್ಲದೆ ಸಭೆಯ ಪ್ರಧಾನರು ಪ್ರಮಾಣಮಾಡಿದರು.
