ಅವಳು ಅವನ ಬಳಿಗೆ ಹೋಗುವಾಗ ತನ್ನ ತಂದೆಯಿಂದ ಒಂದು ಹೊಲವನ್ನು ಕೇಳುವದಕ್ಕೆ ಅವನನ್ನು ಪ್ರೇರೇಪಿಸಿದವಳಾಗಿ ಕತ್ತೆಯಿಂದ ಇಳಿದಳು; ಕಾಲೇಬನು ಅವಳಿಗೆ--ನಿನಗೆ ಏನು ಬೇಕು ಅಂದನು.

12ಕಾಲೇಬನು--ಕಿರ್ಯತೆಸೇಫೆರನ್ನು ಹೊಡೆದು ತೆಗೆದುಕೊಳ್ಳುವವನಿಗೆ ನನ್ನ ಕುಮಾರ್ತೆಯಾದ ಅಕ್ಷಾ ಳನ್ನು ಹೆಂಡತಿಯಾಗಿ ಕೊಡುವೆನು ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿದ್ದನು.
13ಆಗ ಕಾಲೇಬನ ತಮ್ಮನು ಕೆನಜನ ಮಗನಾದ ಒತ್ನೀಯೇಲನು ಅದನ್ನು ಹಿಡಿದನು. ಆಗ ಅವನು ತನ್ನ ಮಗಳಾದ ಅಕ್ಷಾಳನ್ನು ಅವನಿಗೆ ಹೆಂಡತಿಯಾಗಿ ಕೊಟ್ಟನು.
14ಅವಳು ಅವನ ಬಳಿಗೆ ಹೋಗುವಾಗ ತನ್ನ ತಂದೆಯಿಂದ ಒಂದು ಹೊಲವನ್ನು ಕೇಳುವದಕ್ಕೆ ಅವನನ್ನು ಪ್ರೇರೇಪಿಸಿದವಳಾಗಿ ಕತ್ತೆಯಿಂದ ಇಳಿದಳು; ಕಾಲೇಬನು ಅವಳಿಗೆ--ನಿನಗೆ ಏನು ಬೇಕು ಅಂದನು.
15ಅವಳು ಅವನಿಗೆ--ನನಗೆ ಆಶೀರ್ವಾದಕೊಡು; ನೀನು ದಕ್ಷಿಣ ಭೂಮಿಯನ್ನು ನನಗೆ ಕೊಟ್ಟುಬಿಟ್ಟೆ ಯಲ್ಲಾ, ನೀರು ಬುಗ್ಗೆಗಳನ್ನು ಸಹ ಕೊಡು ಅಂದಳು. ಕಾಲೇಬನು ಮೇಲಿನ ಬುಗ್ಗೆಗಳನ್ನೂ ಕೆಳಗಿನ ಬುಗ್ಗೆಗಳನ್ನೂ ಅವಳಿಗೆ ಕೊಟ್ಟನು.
16ಮೋಶೆಯ ಮಾವನಾದ ಕೇನ್ಯನ ಮಕ್ಕಳು ಖರ್ಜೂರ ಗಿಡಗಳ ಪಟ್ಟಣದಿಂದ ಹೊರಟು ಯೂದನ ಮಕ್ಕಳ ಸಂಗಡ ಅರಾದಿಗೆ ದಕ್ಷಿಣಕ್ಕಿರುವ ಯೂದದ ಅರಣ್ಯಕ್ಕೆ ಬಂದು ಜನರ ಸಂಗಡ ವಾಸವಾಗಿದ್ದರು.
