ಅಮ್ಮೋನನ ಮಕ್ಕಳು ಏಕವಾಗಿ ಕೂಡಿಕೊಂಡು ಗಿಲ್ಯಾದಿನಲ್ಲಿ ದಂಡಿಳಿದರು. ಆದರೆ ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲ್‌ ಮಕ್ಕಳು ಏಕವಾಗಿ ಕೂಡಿ ಮಿಚ್ಪೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ದಂಡಿಳಿದರು.ಆಗ ಗಿಲ್ಯಾದಿನ ಜನರೂ ಪ್ರಧಾನರೂ ಒಬ್ಬರಿ ಗೊಬ್ಬರು--ಯಾವನು ಅಮ್ಮೋನನ ಮಕ್ಕಳ ಮೇಲೆ ಯುದ್ಧಮಾಡಲಾರಂಭಿಸುವನೋ ಅವನು ಗಿಲ್ಯಾದಿನ ನಿವಾಸಿಗಳಿಗೆಲ್ಲಾ ನಾಯಕನಾಗಿರುವನು ಎಂದು ಮಾತ ನಾಡಿಕೊಂಡರು.
