ಅಮ್ಮೋ ನನ ಮಕ್ಕಳ ಅರಸನು ಯೆಫ್ತಾಹನ ದೂತರಿಗೆ--ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲು ಐಗುಪ್ತದಿಂದ ಬರುವಾಗ ಅರ್ನೋನಿ ನಿಂದ ಯಬ್ಬೋಕಿನ ವರೆಗೂ ಮತ್ತು ಯೊರ್ದನಿನ ವರೆಗೂ ಇರುವ ನನ್ನ ದೇಶವನ್ನು ತಕ್ಕೊಂಡರು. ಆದದರಿಂದ ಈಗ ಅದನ್ನು ನನಗೆ ಸಮಾಧಾನವಾಗಿ ತಿರಿಗಿಕೊಡು ಅಂದನು.
Ammo nana makkala arasanu yephtaahana dootarige--israayelu aiguptadinda baruvaaga arnoni ninda yabbokina varegoo mattu yordanina varegoo iruva nanna deshavannu takkondaru. Aadadarinda eega adannu nanage samaadhaanavaagi tirigikodu andanu.

- 11ಆಗ ಯೆಫ್ತಾ ಹನು ಗಿಲ್ಯಾದಿನ ಹಿರಿಯರ ಸಂಗಡ ಹೋದನು. ಆಗ ಜನರು ಅವನನ್ನು ತಮ್ಮ ಮೇಲೆ ನಾಯಕನ ನ್ನಾಗಿಯೂ ಅಧಿಪತಿಯನ್ನಾಗಿಯೂ ಇಟ್ಟುಕೊಂಡರು. ಯೆಫ್ತಾಹನು ತನ್ನ ಮಾತುಗಳನ್ನೆಲ್ಲಾ ಮಿಚ್ಪೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಕರ್ತನ ಮುಂದೆ ಹೇಳಿದನು.
- 12ಅವನು ಅಮ್ಮೋನನ ಮಕ್ಕಳ ಅರಸನ ಬಳಿಗೆ ದೂತರನ್ನು ಕಳುಹಿಸಿ ಹೇಳಿದ್ದೇನಂದರೆ--ನೀನು ನನಗೆ ವಿರೋಧವಾಗಿ ನನ್ನ ಸಂಗಡ ಯುದ್ಧಮಾಡುವದಕ್ಕೆ ನನ್ನ ದೇಶದಲ್ಲಿ ಬರುವ ಕಾರಣವೇನು.
- 13ಅಮ್ಮೋ ನನ ಮಕ್ಕಳ ಅರಸನು ಯೆಫ್ತಾಹನ ದೂತರಿಗೆ--ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲು ಐಗುಪ್ತದಿಂದ ಬರುವಾಗ ಅರ್ನೋನಿ ನಿಂದ ಯಬ್ಬೋಕಿನ ವರೆಗೂ ಮತ್ತು ಯೊರ್ದನಿನ ವರೆಗೂ ಇರುವ ನನ್ನ ದೇಶವನ್ನು ತಕ್ಕೊಂಡರು. ಆದದರಿಂದ ಈಗ ಅದನ್ನು ನನಗೆ ಸಮಾಧಾನವಾಗಿ ತಿರಿಗಿಕೊಡು ಅಂದನು.

- 15ಅವರಿಗೆ--ಯೆಫ್ತಾಹನು ಹೇಳುವ ಮಾತು ಇದೇ--ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲ್‌ ಮೋವಾಬಿನ ದೇಶವನ್ನಾ ದರೂ ಅಮ್ಮೋನನ ಮಕ್ಕಳ ದೇಶವನ್ನಾದರೂ ತಕ್ಕೊಂಡ ದ್ದಿಲ್ಲ.
