1. 5ಗಿಲ್ಯಾದ್ಯರು ಎಫ್ರಾಯಾಮ್ಯರ ಮುಂದುಗಡೆ ಇರುವ ಯೊರ್ದನಿನ ರೇವುಗಳನ್ನು ಹಿಡಿದರು. ಆಗ ಏನಾಯಿತಂದರೆ--ಎಫ್ರಾಯಾಮ್ಯರಲ್ಲಿ ತಪ್ಪಿಸಿಕೊಂಡ ಯಾವನಾದರೂ ಬಂದು--ದಾಟುತ್ತೇನೆ ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿದರೆ; ಗಿಲ್ಯಾ ದ್ಯರು--ನೀನು ಎಫ್ರಾಯಾಮ್ಯನೋ? ಎಂದು ಅವ ನನ್ನು ಕೇಳಿದಾಗ ಅವನು--ಅಲ್ಲ ಅಂದರೆ ಅವನಿಗೆ ನೀವು--ಷಿಬ್ಬೋಲೆತ್‌ ಅನ್ನಬೇಕು ಅಂದರು.
2. 6ಆಗ ಅವನು ಹಾಗೆ ಹೇಳಲಾರದೆ ಸಿಬ್ಬೋಲೆತ್‌ ಅನ್ನುವನು. ಆಗ ಅವನನ್ನು ಹಿಡಿದು ಯೊರ್ದನಿನ ರೇವುಗಳ ಬಳಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಕೊಂದುಹಾಕಿದರು. ಹೀಗೆ ಆ ಕಾಲದಲ್ಲಿ ಎಫ್ರಾಯಾಮ್ಯರೊಳಗೆ ನಾಲ್ವತ್ತೆರಡು ಸಾವಿರ ಜನರು ಸತ್ತುಹೋದರು.
3. 7ಯೆಪ್ತಾಹನು ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲ್ಯರಿಗೆ ಆರು ವರುಷ ನ್ಯಾಯತೀರಿಸಿದನು. ಗಿಲ್ಯಾದ್ಯನಾದ ಯೆಪ್ತಾಹನು ಸತ್ತು ಗಿಲ್ಯಾದ್‌ ಪಟ್ಟಣಗಳ ಒಂದರಲ್ಲಿ ಹೂಣಲ್ಪಟ್ಟನು.
4. 8ಅವನ ತರುವಾಯ ಬೇತ್ಲೆಹೇಮಿನವನಾದ ಇಬ್ಚಾ ನನು ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲಿಗೆ ನ್ಯಾಯತೀರಿಸಿದನು.
5. 9ಅವನಿಗೆ ಮೂವತ್ತು ಮಂದಿ ಕುಮಾರರೂ ಮೂವತ್ತು ಮಂದಿ ಕುಮಾರ್ತೆಯರೂ ಇದ್ದರು. ಕುಮಾರ್ತೆಯರನ್ನು ಹೊರಗೆ ಮದುವೆಮಾಡಿಕೊಟ್ಟನು; ಹೊರಗಿ ನಿಂದ ಮೂವತ್ತು ಮಂದಿ ಕುಮಾರ್ತೆಯರನ್ನು ತನ್ನ ಕುಮಾರರಿಗೆ ತಕ್ಕೊಂಡನು. ಅವನು ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲ್ಯರಿಗೆ ಏಳು ವರುಷ ನ್ಯಾಯತೀರಿಸಿದನು.
