1. 24ಜನರು ಅವನನ್ನು ನೋಡಿ ದಾಗ ತಮ್ಮ ದೇವರನ್ನು ಹೊಗಳಿದರು; ಯಾಕಂದರೆನಮ್ಮ ದೇಶವನ್ನು ಹಾಳು ಮಾಡಿ ನಮ್ಮಲ್ಲಿ ಅನೇಕರನ್ನು ಕೊಂದ ನಮ್ಮ ಶತ್ರುವನ್ನು ನಮ್ಮ ದೇವರು ನಮ್ಮ ಕೈಯಲ್ಲಿ ಒಪ್ಪಿಸಿಕೊಟ್ಟನೆಂದು ಅವರು ಹೇಳಿಕೊಂಡರು.
2. 25ತರುವಾಯ ಅವರ ಹೃದಯಗಳು ಸಂಭ್ರಮವಾಗಿ ರುವಾಗ--ನಮ್ಮ ಮುಂದೆ ವಿನೋದ ಮಾಡುವ ಹಾಗೆ ಸಂಸೋನನನ್ನು ಕರಕೊಂಡು ಬನ್ನಿರಿ ಅಂದರು. ಅವರು ಸಂಸೋನನನ್ನು ಸೆರೆಮನೆಯಿಂದ ಕರತಂದಾಗ ಅವನು ಅವರ ಮುಂದೆ ವಿನೋದ ಮಾಡಿದನು; ಅವರು ಅವನನ್ನು ಸ್ತಂಭಗಳ ನಡುವೆ ನಿಲ್ಲಿಸಿದ್ದರು.
3. 26ಆದರೆ ಸಂಸೋನನು ತನ್ನ ಕೈಹಿಡಿದ ಹುಡುಗನಿಗೆ--ಮನೆ ಯನ್ನು ಹೊತ್ತಿರುವ ಸ್ತಂಭಗಳನ್ನು ನಾನು ಸ್ಪರ್ಶಿಸಿ ಅವುಗಳ ಮೇಲೆ ಆತುಕೊಳ್ಳುವಹಾಗೆ ನನ್ನನ್ನು ಬಿಡು ಅಂದನು.
4. 27ಆ ಮನೆಯು ಸ್ತ್ರೀ ಪುರುಷರಿಂದ ತುಂಬಿತ್ತು; ಅಲ್ಲಿ ಫಿಲಿಷ್ಟಿಯರ ಅಧಿಪತಿಗಳೆಲ್ಲರೂ ಇದ್ದರು. ಇದಲ್ಲದೆ ಸಂಸೋನನು ವಿನೋದ ಮಾಡು ವಾಗ ನೋಡುವದಕ್ಕೆ ಮಾಳಿಗೆಯ ಮೇಲೆ ಇದ್ದ ಸ್ತ್ರೀಪುರುಷರು ಹೆಚ್ಚುಕಡಿಮೆ ಮೂರು ಸಾವಿರ ಜನ ರಾಗಿದ್ದರು.
5. 28ಆಗ ಸಂಸೋನನು ಕರ್ತನನ್ನು ಕೂಗಿಕರ್ತನಾದ ದೇವರೇ, ನಾನು ನನ್ನ ಎರಡು ಕಣ್ಣುಗಳಿ ಗಾಗಿ ಒಂದೇ ಸಾರಿ ಫಿಲಿಷ್ಟಿಯರಿಗೆ ಮುಯ್ಯಿಗೆ ಮುಯ್ಯಿ ಮಾಡುವ ಹಾಗೆ ಈ ಸಾರಿ ಮಾತ್ರ ನನ್ನನ್ನು ನೆನಸಿ ಬಲಪಡಿಸು,
