ಆ ಮನೆಯು ಸ್ತ್ರೀ ಪುರುಷರಿಂದ ತುಂಬಿತ್ತು; ಅಲ್ಲಿ ಫಿಲಿಷ್ಟಿಯರ ಅಧಿಪತಿಗಳೆಲ್ಲರೂ ಇದ್ದರು. ಇದಲ್ಲದೆ ಸಂಸೋನನು ವಿನೋದ ಮಾಡು ವಾಗ ನೋಡುವದಕ್ಕೆ ಮಾಳಿಗೆಯ ಮೇಲೆ ಇದ್ದ ಸ್ತ್ರೀಪುರುಷರು ಹೆಚ್ಚುಕಡಿಮೆ ಮೂರು ಸಾವಿರ ಜನ ರಾಗಿದ್ದರು.

- 28ಆಗ ಸಂಸೋನನು ಕರ್ತನನ್ನು ಕೂಗಿಕರ್ತನಾದ ದೇವರೇ, ನಾನು ನನ್ನ ಎರಡು ಕಣ್ಣುಗಳಿ ಗಾಗಿ ಒಂದೇ ಸಾರಿ ಫಿಲಿಷ್ಟಿಯರಿಗೆ ಮುಯ್ಯಿಗೆ ಮುಯ್ಯಿ ಮಾಡುವ ಹಾಗೆ ಈ ಸಾರಿ ಮಾತ್ರ ನನ್ನನ್ನು ನೆನಸಿ ಬಲಪಡಿಸು,
- 29ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿ ಸಂಸೋನನು ಆ ಮನೆಯ ಆಧಾರವಾದ ಎರಡು ನಡುವಿನ ಸ್ತಂಭ ಗಳನ್ನು ಒಂದು ತನ್ನ ಬಲಗೈಯಿಂದಲೂ ಮತ್ತೊಂದು ತನ್ನ ಎಡಗೈಯಿಂದಲೂ ಹಿಡುಕೊಂಡು--
