2. 3ಅವನು ಆ ಸಾವಿರದ ನೂರು ರೂಪಾಯಿಗಳಷ್ಟು ಬೆಳ್ಳಿಯನ್ನು ತನ್ನ ತಾಯಿಗೆ ತಿರಿಗಿ ಕೊಟ್ಟಾಗ ಅವನ ತಾಯಿ--ನನ್ನ ಮಗನ ನಿಮಿತ್ತ ಕೆತ್ತಿದ ವಿಗ್ರಹವನ್ನೂ ಎರಕದ ವಿಗ್ರಹವನ್ನೂ ಮಾಡುವದಕ್ಕೆ ನಾನು ನನ್ನ ಕೈಯಲ್ಲಿದ್ದ ಈ ಬೆಳ್ಳಿಯನ್ನು ಕರ್ತನಿಗೆ ಸಂಪೂರ್ಣವಾಗಿ ಪ್ರತಿಷ್ಠಿಸಿದೆನು; ಆದದರಿಂದ ನಾನು ಅದನ್ನು ನಿನಗೆ ತಿರಿಗಿ ಕೊಡುವೆನು ಅಂದಳು.
3. 4ಆದರೆ ಅವನು ಆ ಹಣವನ್ನು ತನ್ನ ತಾಯಿಗೆ ತಿರಿಗಿ ಕೊಟ್ಟನು. ಆಗ ಅವನ ತಾಯಿ ಇನ್ನೂರು ಬೆಳ್ಳಿಯ ನಾಣ್ಯಗಳನ್ನು ತಕ್ಕೊಂಡು ಅಕ್ಕಸಾಲಿಗನ ಕೈಯಲ್ಲಿ ಕೊಟ್ಟಳು. ಅವನು ಅವುಗಳಿಂದ ಕೆತ್ತಿದ ವಿಗ್ರಹವನ್ನೂ ಎರಕದ ವಿಗ್ರಹ ವನ್ನೂ ಮಾಡಿದನು. ಅವು ವಿಾಕನ ಮನೆಯಲ್ಲಿದ್ದವು.
4. 5ಈ ವಿಾಕ ಎಂಬ ಮನುಷ್ಯನಿಗೆ ದೇವರುಗಳ ಮನೆ ಇದ್ದದರಿಂದ ಅವನು ಒಂದು ಏಫೋದನ್ನೂ ಪ್ರತಿಮೆಗಳನ್ನೂ ಮಾಡಿ ತನ್ನ ಕುಮಾರರಲ್ಲಿ ಒಬ್ಬನನ್ನು ಪ್ರತಿಷ್ಠೆಮಾಡಿದನು. ಅವನು ಇವನಿಗೆ ಯಾಜಕ ನಾದನು.
5. 6ಆ ದಿವಸಗಳೊಳಗೆ ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಅರಸನಿರಲಿಲ್ಲ; ಅವನವನು ತನ್ನ ದೃಷ್ಟಿಗೆ ಸರಿಯಾಗಿ ತೋರಿದ್ದನ್ನು ಮಾಡಿದನು.
