1. 25ಆದರೆ ಆ ಮನುಷ್ಯರು ಅವನ ಮಾತನ್ನು ಕೇಳಲೊಲ್ಲದೆ ಹೋದರು. ಆದದರಿಂದ ಆ ಮನುಷ್ಯನು ತನ್ನ ಉಪ ಪತ್ನಿಯನ್ನು ಹಿಡಿದು ಹೊರಗೆ ಅವರ ಬಳಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ತಂದು ಬಿಟ್ಟನು; ಅವರು ಅವಳನ್ನು ತಿಳುಕೊಂಡು ಉದಯ ಕಾಲದ ಪರ್ಯಂತರ ರಾತ್ರಿಯೆಲ್ಲಾ ಅವಳನ್ನು ಕೆಡಿಸಿ ಉದಯವಾಗುವಾಗ ಅವಳನ್ನು ಬಿಟ್ಟುಬಿಟ್ಟರು.
2. 26ಆ ಸ್ತ್ರೀ ಉದಯ ಕಾಲಕ್ಕೆ ಮುಂಚೆ ಬಂದು ಬೆಳಕಾಗುವ ಮಟ್ಟಿಗೂ ಅಲ್ಲಿ ತನ್ನ ಯಜಮಾನನು ಇರುವ ಮನೆಯ ಬಾಗಿಲ ಬಳಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಬಿದ್ದಿದ್ದಳು.
3. 27ಅವಳ ಯಜ ಮಾನನು ಉದಯದಲ್ಲಿ ಎದ್ದು ಮನೆಯ ಬಾಗಲನ್ನು ತೆರೆದು ತನ್ನ ಮಾರ್ಗವಾಗಿ ಹೊರಡುವಾಗ ಇಗೋ, ತನ್ನ ಉಪಪತ್ನಿ ಮನೆಯ ಬಾಗಿಲ ಮುಂದೆ ತನ್ನ ಕೈಗಳನ್ನು ಹೊಸ್ತಿಲ ಮೇಲೆ ಇಟ್ಟವಳಾಗಿ ಬಿದ್ದಿದ್ದಳು.
4. 28ಆಗ ಅವನು ಅವಳಿಗೆ--ಏಳು, ಹೋಗೋಣ ಅಂದನು. ಆದರೆ ಪ್ರತ್ಯುತ್ತರವೇನೂ ಇಲ್ಲದೆ ಹೋಯಿತು. ಆಗ ಆ ಮನುಷ್ಯನು ಅವಳನ್ನು ಕತ್ತೆಯ ಮೇಲೆ ಹಾಕಿಕೊಂಡು ತನ್ನ ಸ್ಥಳಕ್ಕೆ ಹೋದನು.
5. 29ಅವನು ತನ್ನ ಮನೆಗೆ ಹೋದಾಗ ಒಂದು ಕತ್ತಿಯನ್ನು ತೆಗೆದುಕೊಂಡು ತನ್ನ ಉಪಪತ್ನಿಯನ್ನು ಹಿಡಿದು ಎಲುಬುಗಳ ಸಂಗಡ ಹನ್ನೆರಡು ತುಂಡು ಗಳಾಗಿ ಕಡಿದು ಅವುಗಳನ್ನು ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲಿನ ಮೇರೆ ಗಳಿಗೆಲ್ಲಾ ಕಳುಹಿಸಿದನು.ಆಗ ಅದನ್ನು ನೋಡುವ ವರೆಲ್ಲಾ--ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲ್‌ ಮಕ್ಕಳು ಐಗುಪ್ತದಿಂದ ಬಂದ ದಿವಸ ಮೊದಲುಗೊಂಡು ಈ ಪರ್ಯಂತರ ಇಂಥಾ ಕಾರ್ಯವು ಆದದ್ದೂ ಇಲ್ಲ, ಕಾಣಲ್ಪಟ್ಟದ್ದೂ ಇಲ್ಲ. ಈ ಸಂಗತಿಯನ್ನು ಮನಸ್ಸಿಗೆ ತಂದು ವಿಚಾರಿಸತಕ್ಕದ್ದು ಅಂದುಕೊಂಡರು.
