ಆಗ ಸೀಸೆರನು ರಥವನ್ನು ಬಿಟ್ಟು ಇಳಿದು ಕಾಲು ನಡೆಯಾಗಿ ಓಡಿ ಹೋದನು. ಆದರೆ ಬಾರಾಕನು ರಥಗಳನ್ನೂ ಸೈನ್ಯ ವನ್ನೂ ಅನ್ಯಜನಾಂಗಗಳ ಹರೋಷೆತಿನ ಮಟ್ಟಿಗೂ ಹಿಂದಟ್ಟಿದನು. ಸೀಸೆರನ ಸೈನ್ಯವೆಲ್ಲಾ ಕತ್ತಿಯಿಂದ ಹತ ವಾಗಿ ಬಿತ್ತು; ಒಬ್ಬನಾದರೂ ಉಳಿಯಲಿಲ್ಲ.

- 16ಆಗ ಸೀಸೆರನು ರಥವನ್ನು ಬಿಟ್ಟು ಇಳಿದು ಕಾಲು ನಡೆಯಾಗಿ ಓಡಿ ಹೋದನು. ಆದರೆ ಬಾರಾಕನು ರಥಗಳನ್ನೂ ಸೈನ್ಯ ವನ್ನೂ ಅನ್ಯಜನಾಂಗಗಳ ಹರೋಷೆತಿನ ಮಟ್ಟಿಗೂ ಹಿಂದಟ್ಟಿದನು. ಸೀಸೆರನ ಸೈನ್ಯವೆಲ್ಲಾ ಕತ್ತಿಯಿಂದ ಹತ ವಾಗಿ ಬಿತ್ತು; ಒಬ್ಬನಾದರೂ ಉಳಿಯಲಿಲ್ಲ.
- 17ಆದರೆ ಸೀಸೆರನು ಕಾಲುನಡೆಯಾಗಿ ಕೇನ್ಯನಾದ ಹೆಬೆರನ ಹೆಂಡತಿಯಾದ ಯಾಯೇಲಳ ಗುಡಾರಕ್ಕೆ ಓಡಿಬಂದನು. ಯಾಬೀನನೆಂಬ ಹಾಚೋರಿನ ಅರಸ ನಿಗೂ ಕೇನ್ಯನಾದ ಹೆಬೆರನ ಮನೆಗೂ ನಡುವೆ ಸಮಾ ಧಾನ ಇತ್ತು.
- 18ಆಗ ಯಾಯೇಲಳು ಸೀಸೆರನನ್ನು ಎದುರುಗೊಳ್ಳುವದಕ್ಕೆ ಹೋಗಿ ಅವನಿಗೆ--ಒಳಗೆ ಬಾ, ನನ್ನ ಪ್ರಭುವೇ; ನನ್ನ ಬಳಿಗೆ ಬಾ; ಭಯಪಡಬೇಡ ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿದಳು. ಅವನು ಗುಡಾರದಲ್ಲಿರುವ ಅವಳ ಬಳಿಗೆ ಬಂದಾಗ ಅವಳು ಅವನನ್ನು ಒಂದು ಜಮಖಾನ ದಿಂದ ಮುಚ್ಚಿದಳು.
