ನಾನು ನಿನ್ನ ಬಳಿಗೆ ನನ್ನ ಕಾಣಿಕೆಯನ್ನು ತಂದು ನಿನ್ನ ಮುಂದೆ ಇಡುವ ವರೆಗೆ ನೀನು ಈ ಸ್ಥಳವನ್ನು ಬಿಟ್ಟುಹೋಗ ಬಾರದು ಎಂದು ಬೇಡಿಕೊಂಡನು. ಅದಕ್ಕೆ ಆತನುನೀನು ತಿರುಗಿ ಬರುವತನಕ ನಾನು ಕಾದಿರುವೆನು ಅಂದನು.
Naanu ninna balige nanna kaanikeyannu tandu ninna munde iduva varege neenu ee sthalavannu bittuhoga baaradu endu bedikondanu. Adakke aatanuneenu tirugi baruvatanaka naanu kaadiruvenu andanu.

- 17ಅದಕ್ಕವನುಈಗ ನಿನ್ನ ಸಮ್ಮುಖದಲ್ಲಿ ನನಗೆ ದಯೆ ದೊರಕಿದ್ದರೆ ನನ್ನ ಸಂಗಡ ಮಾತಾಡುವಾತನು ನೀನೇ ಎಂಬದಕ್ಕೆ ನನಗೆ ಒಂದು ಗುರುತನ್ನು ತೋರಿಸಬೇಕು.
- 18ನಾನು ನಿನ್ನ ಬಳಿಗೆ ನನ್ನ ಕಾಣಿಕೆಯನ್ನು ತಂದು ನಿನ್ನ ಮುಂದೆ ಇಡುವ ವರೆಗೆ ನೀನು ಈ ಸ್ಥಳವನ್ನು ಬಿಟ್ಟುಹೋಗ ಬಾರದು ಎಂದು ಬೇಡಿಕೊಂಡನು. ಅದಕ್ಕೆ ಆತನುನೀನು ತಿರುಗಿ ಬರುವತನಕ ನಾನು ಕಾದಿರುವೆನು ಅಂದನು.
- 19ಆಗ ಗಿದ್ಯೋನನು ಒಳಗೆ ಹೋಗಿ ಒಂದು ಮೇಕೆಯ ಮರಿಯನ್ನೂ ಒಂದು ಏಫಾದ ಹಿಟ್ಟಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಹುಳಿ ಇಲ್ಲದ ರೊಟ್ಟಿಯನ್ನೂ ಸಿದ್ಧಮಾಡಿ ಮಾಂಸವನ್ನು ಪುಟ್ಟಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಇಟ್ಟು ರಸವನ್ನು ಪಾತ್ರೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಹೊಯಿದು ಅದನ್ನು ಹೊರಗೆ ಮರದ ಕೆಳಗೆ ಇದ್ದ ಆತನ ಬಳಿ ಯಲ್ಲಿ ತಂದಿಟ್ಟನು.
- 20ದೇವದೂತನು ಅವನಿಗೆನೀನು ಮಾಂಸವನ್ನೂ ಹುಳಿ ಇಲ್ಲದ ರೊಟ್ಟಿಗಳನ್ನೂ ತೆಗೆದುಕೊಂಡು ಈ ಬಂಡೆಯ ಮೇಲಿಟ್ಟು ರಸವನ್ನು ಹೊಯ್ಯಿ ಅಂದನು. ಅವನು ಹಾಗೆಯೇ ಮಾಡಿದನು.
