ಅವನು ಅವರಿಗೆ ಹೇಳಿದ್ದೇನಂದರೆ--ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲಿನ ದೇವ ರಾದ ಕರ್ತನು ಹೇಳುವದೇನಂದರೆ--ನಾನು ನಿಮ್ಮನ್ನು ಐಗುಪ್ತದಿಂದ ಬರಮಾಡಿದೆನು; ದಾಸತ್ವದ ಮನೆ ಯಿಂದ ಹೊರಡ ಮಾಡಿದೆನು; ಐಗುಪ್ತ್ಯರ ಕೈಯಿಂದ ಲೂ ನಿಮ್ಮನ್ನು ಬಾಧೆಪಡಿಸುವವರೆಲ್ಲರ ಕೈಯಿಂದಲೂ ತಪ್ಪಿಸಿ ಅವರನ್ನು ನಿಮ್ಮ ಮುಂದೆ ಹೊರಗೆಹಾಕಿ ಅವರ ದೇಶವನ್ನು ನಿಮಗೆ ಕೊಟ್ಟೆನು.

- 10ನಿಮಗೆ ನಾನೇ ನಿಮ್ಮ ದೇವರಾದ ಕರ್ತನು; ನೀವು ವಾಸಿಸಿರುವ ಅಮೋರಿಯರ ದೇಶದ ದೇವರುಗಳಿಗೆ ಭಯಪಡ ಬೇಡಿರಿ ಎಂದು ನಾನು ಹೇಳಿದೆನು. ಆದರೆ ನೀವು ನನ್ನ ಮಾತನ್ನು ಕೇಳದೆ ಹೋದಿರಿ ಎಂಬದೇ.
- 11ಕರ್ತನ ದೂತನು ಬಂದು ಅಬೀಯೆಜೆರನಾದ ಯೋವಾಷನು ಹೊಂದಿದ ಒಫ್ರದಲ್ಲಿರುವ ಏಲಾ ಮರದ ಕೆಳಗೆ ಕುಳಿತನು. ಆಗ ಯೋವಾಷನ ಮಗ ನಾದ ಗಿದ್ಯೋನನು ಮಿದ್ಯಾನ್ಯರಿಗೆ ಮರೆಯಾಗುವ ಹಾಗೆ ದ್ರಾಕ್ಷೇ ಆಲೆಯ ಬಳಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಗೋಧಿಯನ್ನು ಬಡಿಯುತ್ತಿದ್ದನು.
