ನಾನೂ ನನ್ನ ಸಂಗಡ ಇರುವವ ರೆಲ್ಲರೂ ತುತೂರಿಯನ್ನು ಊದುವಾಗ ನೀವೆಲ್ಲರೂ ದಂಡಿನ ಸುತ್ತಲೂ ಎಲ್ಲಾ ಕಡೆಯಲ್ಲೂ ತುತೂರಿಗಳನ್ನು ಊದಿ ಕರ್ತನ ಕತ್ತಿ, ಗಿದ್ಯೋನನ ಕತ್ತಿ ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿರಿ ಅಂದನು.
Naanoo nanna sangada iruvava rellaroo tutooriyannu ooduvaaga neevellaroo dandina suttaloo ellaa kadeyalloo tutoorigalannu oodi kartana katti, gidyonana katti endu heliri andanu.

- 17ನಾನು ಮಾಡುವದನ್ನು ನೋಡಿ ಹಾಗೆಯೇ ನೀವೂ ಮಾಡಿರಿ. ಇಗೋ, ನಾನು ದಂಡಿನ ಹೊರಗೆ ಬಂದಾಗ ಹೇಗೆ ಮಾಡುವೆನೋ ಹಾಗೆಯೇ ನೀವೂ ಮಾಡಿರಿ.

- 19ಮಧ್ಯ ರಾತ್ರಿ ಮೊದಲನೆಯ ಜಾವದಲ್ಲಿ ಕಾವಲು ಗಾರರನ್ನು ಬದಲಾಯಿಸಿದಾಗ ಗಿದ್ಯೋನನೂ ಅವನ ಸಂಗಡ ಇದ್ದ ನೂರು ಮಂದಿಯೂ ದಂಡಿನ ಹೊರಗೆ ಬಂದು ತುತೂರಿಗಳನ್ನು ಊದಿ ತಮ್ಮ ಕೈಯಲ್ಲಿದ್ದ ಕೊಡಗಳನ್ನು ಒಡೆದರು.
- 20ಈ ಮೂರು ಗುಂಪಿನ ಜನರು ತುತೂರಿಗಳನ್ನು ಊದಿ ಆ ಕೊಡಗಳನ್ನು ಒಡೆದುಬಿಟ್ಟು ಪಂಜುಗಳನ್ನು ತಮ್ಮ ಎಡಗೈಯಲ್ಲಿಯೂ ಊದುವ ತುತೂರಿಗಳನ್ನು ತಮ್ಮ ಬಲಗೈಯಲ್ಲಿಯೂ ಹಿಡಿದು--ಕರ್ತನ ಕತ್ತಿ, ಗಿದ್ಯೋನನ ಕತ್ತಿ ಎಂದು ಕೂಗಿ ದಂಡಿನ ಸುತ್ತಲೂ ಅವರವರು ತಮ್ಮ ಸ್ಥಳದಲ್ಲಿ ನಿಂತರು.
