ಇದಲ್ಲದೆ ಗಿದ್ಯೋನನು ಎಫ್ರಾಯಾಮ್‌ ಬೆಟ್ಟ ದಲ್ಲೆಲ್ಲಾ ದೂತರನ್ನು ಕಳುಹಿಸಿ--ನೀವು ಮಿದ್ಯಾನ್ಯರಿಗೆ ಎದುರಾಗಿ ಇಳಿದು ಹೋಗಿ ಬೇತ್‌ಬಾರ ಮತ್ತು ಯೊರ್ದನ್‌ ವರೆಗಿರುವ ನೀರುಗಳನ್ನು ಅವರಿಗೆ ಮುಂದಾಗಿ ಹಿಡಿಯಿರಿ ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿದನು. ಹಾಗೆಯೇ ಎಫ್ರಾಯಾಮ್‌ ಮನುಷ್ಯರೆಲ್ಲರು ಕೂಡಿಕೊಂಡು ಬೇತ್‌ಬಾರ ಮತ್ತು ಯೊರ್ದನ್‌ ವರೆಗೆ ನೀರುಗಳನ್ನು ಹಿಡಿದರು.ಮಿದ್ಯಾನ್ಯರ ಇಬ್ಬರು ಅಧಿಪತಿಗಳಾದ ಓರೇಬನ್ನೂ ಜೇಬನ ಹಿಡಿದು ಓರೇಬನ್ನು ಓರೇಬೆಂಬ ಬಂಡೆಯಲ್ಲಿಯೂ ಜೇಬನ್ನು ಜೇಬನ ದ್ರಾಕ್ಷೇ ಆಲೆಯ ಬಳಿಯಲ್ಲಿಯೂ ಕೊಂದುಹಾಕಿ ಮಿದ್ಯಾನ್ಯರನ್ನು ಹಿಂದಟ್ಟಿ ಓರೇಬ ಜೇಬರ ತಲೆಗಳನ್ನು ಯೊರ್ದನಿಗೆ ಈಚೆಯಲ್ಲಿದ್ದ ಗಿದ್ಯೋನನ ಬಳಿಗೆ ತಂದರು.
