ಆದರೆ ಅಬೀಮೆಲೆಕನು ಅವ ನನ್ನು ಹಿಂದಟ್ಟಿದಾಗ ಅವನು ಅವನ ಮುಂದೆ ಓಡಿ ಹೋದನು. ಪ್ರವೇಶ ದ್ವಾರದ ವರೆಗೆ ಅನೇಕರು ಸಂಹಾರವಾಗಿ ಅನೇಕರು ಗಾಯಗೊಂಡರು.

- 40ಆದರೆ ಅಬೀಮೆಲೆಕನು ಅವ ನನ್ನು ಹಿಂದಟ್ಟಿದಾಗ ಅವನು ಅವನ ಮುಂದೆ ಓಡಿ ಹೋದನು. ಪ್ರವೇಶ ದ್ವಾರದ ವರೆಗೆ ಅನೇಕರು ಸಂಹಾರವಾಗಿ ಅನೇಕರು ಗಾಯಗೊಂಡರು.
- 41ಆಗ ಅಬೀಮೆಲೆಕನು ಅರೂಮದಲ್ಲಿ ವಾಸಮಾಡಿದನು; ಆದರೆ ಜೆಬುಲನು ಗಾಳನನ್ನೂ ಅವನ ಸಹೋದರ ರನ್ನೂ ಶೆಕೆಮಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಇರದ ಹಾಗೆ ಹೊರಡಿಸಿಬಿಟ್ಟನು.
- 42ಮರು ದಿವಸದಲ್ಲಿ ಆದದ್ದೇನಂದರೆ, ಜನರು ಹೊಲಕ್ಕೆ ಹೊರಟರು: ಅವರು ಅಬೀಮೆಲೆಕನಿಗೆ ತಿಳಿಸಿದರು.
