ಇದಲ್ಲದೆ ಅವನು ಏಳು ಸಾರಿ ಅದರ ಮೇಲೆ ಬೆರಳಿನಿಂದ ರಕ್ತವನ್ನು ಚಿಮುಕಿಸಿ ಅದನ್ನು ಶುದ್ಧಮಾಡಬೇಕು ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲ್‌ ಮಕ್ಕಳ ಅಶುದ್ಧತೆಯಿಂದ ಅದನ್ನು ಶುದ್ಧಮಾಡಬೇಕು.

- 18ಇದಲ್ಲದೆ ಅವನು ಕರ್ತನ ಎದುರಿನಲ್ಲಿರುವ ಯಜ್ಞವೇದಿಯ ಬಳಿಗೆ ಬಂದು ಅದಕ್ಕೋಸ್ಕರ ಪ್ರಾಯಶ್ಚಿತ್ತವನ್ನುಮಾಡಬೇಕು; ಹೋರಿಯ ರಕ್ತವನ್ನೂ ಆಡಿನ ರಕ್ತವನ್ನೂ ತೆಗೆದು ಕೊಂಡು ಯಜ್ಞವೇದಿಯ ಸುತ್ತಲೂ ಇರುವ ಕೊಂಬು ಗಳಿಗೆ ಹಚ್ಚಬೇಕು.

- 20ಹೀಗೆ ಪರಿಶುದ್ಧ ಸ್ಥಳದಲ್ಲಿಯೂ ಸಭೆಯ ಗುಡಾರದಲ್ಲಿಯೂ ಯಜ್ಞವೇದಿಗೂ ಪ್ರಾಯಶ್ಚಿತ್ತವನ್ನು ಮಾಡಿ ಮುಗಿಸಿದ ಮೇಲೆ ಅವನು ಒಂದು ಜೀವವುಳ್ಳ ಆಡನ್ನು ತರಬೇಕು.
- 21ಆರೋನನು ಆ ಜೀವವುಳ್ಳ ಆಡಿನ ತಲೆಯ ಮೇಲೆ ತನ್ನ ಎರಡೂ ಕೈಗಳನ್ನು ಇಟ್ಟು ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲ್‌ ಮಕ್ಕಳ ಎಲ್ಲಾ ಅಕ್ರಮಗಳನ್ನೂ ಎಲ್ಲಾ ಪಾಪಗಳಲ್ಲಿರುವ ದ್ರೋಹಗಳನ್ನೂ ಅರಿಕೆ ಮಾಡಿ ಅವುಗಳನ್ನು ಆಡಿನ ತಲೆಯ ಮೇಲೆ ಇರಿಸಿ ಯೋಗ್ಯನಾದ ಒಬ್ಬ ಮನುಷ್ಯನ ಕೈಯಿಂದ ಅದನ್ನು ಅಡವಿಯೊಳಗೆ ಕಳುಹಿಸಿಬಿಡಬೇಕು.
