1. 1ತರುವಾಯ ಕರ್ತನು ಮೋಶೆಗೆ ಹೇಳಿದ್ದೇನಂದರೆ--ನೀನು ಆರೋನನ ಮಕ್ಕಳಾದ ಯಾಜಕರೊಂದಿಗೆ ಮಾತನಾಡಿ ಅವರಿಗೆ ಹೀಗೆ ಹೇಳು--ಸತ್ತವರ ನಿಮಿತ್ತವಾಗಿ ಅವನ ಜನರಲ್ಲಿ ಯಾವನೂ ಹೊಲೆಯಾಗಬಾರದು.
2. 2ಆದರೆ ತನ್ನ ಹತ್ತಿರದ ಸಂಬಂಧಿಯಾಗಿ, ಅಂದರೆ ಅವನ ತಾಯಿ, ತಂದೆ, ಮಗ, ಮಗಳು, ಸಹೋದರನಿಗಾಗಿ
3. 3ಅವನಿಗೆ ಹತ್ತಿರದ ಗಂಡನಿಲ್ಲದ ಕನ್ನಿಕೆಯಾದ ಸಹೋದರಿಗಾಗಿ ಅವನು ಹೊಲೆಯಾಗಬಹುದು.
4. 4ಆದರೆ ಅವನು ತನ್ನ ಜನರೊಳಗೆ ಮುಖ್ಯಸ್ಥನಾಗಿ ರುವದರಿಂದ ತನ್ನನ್ನು ತಾನು ಹೊಲೆಮಾಡಿ ಕೊಳ್ಳಬಾರದು ಅಪವಿತ್ರಮಾಡಿಕೊಳ್ಳಲೂಬಾರದು.
5. 5ಅವರು ತಮ್ಮ ತಲೆಯನ್ನು ಬೋಳಿಸಿಕೊಳ್ಳಬಾರದು. ಅಲ್ಲದೆ ತಮ್ಮ ಗಡ್ಡದ ಮೂಲೆಯನ್ನು ಬೋಳಿಸಿ ಕೊಳ್ಳಬಾರದು. ತಮ್ಮ ಶರೀರವನ್ನು ಕೊಯ್ದುಕೊಳ್ಳ ಬಾರದು.
