ಇಗೋ, ಬಂಜೆಯೆಂದು ಕರೆಯಲ್ಪಟ್ಟ ನಿನ್ನ ಬಂಧುವಾದ ಎಲಿಸಬೇತಳು ಸಹ ತನ್ನ ಮುಪ್ಪಿನ ಪ್ರಾಯದಲ್ಲಿ ಮಗನನ್ನು ಗರ್ಭಧರಿಸಿದ್ದಾಳೆ. ಆಕೆಗೆ ಇದು ಆರನೆಯ ತಿಂಗಳು.

34ಆಗ ಮರಿಯಳು ಆ ದೂತ ನಿಗೆ--ಇದು ಹೇಗಾದೀತು? ನಾನು ಪುರುಷನನ್ನು ಅರಿತವಳಲ್ಲವಲ್ಲಾ ಅಂದಳು.
35ಅದಕ್ಕೆ ಆ ದೂತನು ಪ್ರತ್ಯುತ್ತರವಾಗಿ ಆಕೆಗೆ--ಪವಿತ್ರಾತ್ಮನು ನಿನ್ನ ಮೇಲೆ ಬರುವನು, ಮಹೋನ್ನತನ ಶಕ್ತಿಯು ನಿನ್ನನ್ನು ಆವರಿಸಿ ಕೊಳ್ಳುವದು; ಆದದರಿಂದ ನಿನ್ನಿಂದ ಹುಟ್ಟುವ ಆ ಪವಿತ್ರವಾದ ಶಿಶುವು ದೇವರ ಮಗನೆಂದು ಕರೆಯ ಲ್ಪಡುವನು.
36ಇಗೋ, ಬಂಜೆಯೆಂದು ಕರೆಯಲ್ಪಟ್ಟ ನಿನ್ನ ಬಂಧುವಾದ ಎಲಿಸಬೇತಳು ಸಹ ತನ್ನ ಮುಪ್ಪಿನ ಪ್ರಾಯದಲ್ಲಿ ಮಗನನ್ನು ಗರ್ಭಧರಿಸಿದ್ದಾಳೆ. ಆಕೆಗೆ ಇದು ಆರನೆಯ ತಿಂಗಳು.
37ಯಾಕಂದರೆ ದೇವರಿಗೆ ಅಸಾಧ್ಯವಾದದ್ದು ಯಾವದೂ ಇಲ್ಲ ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿ ದನು.
38ಆಗ ಮರಿಯಳು--ನೋಡು, ನಾನು ಕರ್ತನ ದಾಸಿ; ನಿನ್ನ ಮಾತಿನಂತೆ ನನಗೆ ಆಗಲಿ ಅಂದಳು; ಆ ದೂತನು ಆಕೆಯ ಬಳಿಯಿಂದ ಹೊರಟುಹೋದನು.
