ಯಾಕಂದರೆ ಅನೇಕ ಪ್ರವಾದಿಗಳೂ ಅರಸರೂ ನೀವು ನೋಡು ವಂಥವುಗಳನ್ನು ನೋಡಬೇಕೆಂದು ಅಪೇಕ್ಷಿಸಿದರೂ ನೋಡಲಿಲ್ಲ ಮತ್ತು ನೀವು ಕೇಳುವಂಥವುಗಳನ್ನು ಕೇಳ ಬೇಕೆಂದು ಅಪೇಕ್ಷಿಸಿದರೂ ಅವರು ಕೇಳಲಿಲ್ಲ ಎಂದು ನಾನು ನಿಮಗೆ ಹೇಳುತ್ತೇನೆ ಅಂದನು.

- 24ಯಾಕಂದರೆ ಅನೇಕ ಪ್ರವಾದಿಗಳೂ ಅರಸರೂ ನೀವು ನೋಡು ವಂಥವುಗಳನ್ನು ನೋಡಬೇಕೆಂದು ಅಪೇಕ್ಷಿಸಿದರೂ ನೋಡಲಿಲ್ಲ ಮತ್ತು ನೀವು ಕೇಳುವಂಥವುಗಳನ್ನು ಕೇಳ ಬೇಕೆಂದು ಅಪೇಕ್ಷಿಸಿದರೂ ಅವರು ಕೇಳಲಿಲ್ಲ ಎಂದು ನಾನು ನಿಮಗೆ ಹೇಳುತ್ತೇನೆ ಅಂದನು.
- 25ಆಗ ಇಗೋ, ಒಬ್ಬಾನೊಬ್ಬ ನ್ಯಾಯಶಾಸ್ತ್ರಿಯು ಎದ್ದು ನಿಂತು ಆತನನ್ನು ಶೋಧಿಸುವದಕ್ಕಾಗಿ-- ಬೋಧಕನೇ, ನಾನು ನಿತ್ಯಜೀವವನ್ನು ಬಾಧ್ಯವಾಗಿ ಹೊಂದುವದಕ್ಕೆ ಏನು ಮಾಡಬೇಕು ಎಂದು ಕೇಳಿದನು.
- 26ಆತನು ಅವನಿಗೆ-- ನ್ಯಾಯಪ್ರಮಾಣದಲ್ಲಿ ಏನು ಬರೆದದೆ? ನೀನು ಹೇಗೆ ಓದುತ್ತೀ ಎಂದು ಕೇಳಿದನು.
