1. 25ಆದರೆ ಅಬ್ರಹಾ ಮನು--ಮಗನೇ, ನೀನು ನಿನ್ನ ಜೀವಿತಕಾಲದಲ್ಲಿ ನಿನ್ನ ಒಳ್ಳೆಯವುಗಳನ್ನು ಹೊಂದಿದಿ; ಅದೇ ರೀತಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಲಾಜರನು ಕೆಟ್ಟವುಗಳನ್ನು ಹೊಂದಿದ್ದನ್ನು ನೆನಪಿಗೆ ತಂದುಕೋ. ಆದರೆ ಈಗ ಅವನು ಆದರಣೆ ಹೊಂದುತ್ತಾ ಇದ್ದಾನೆ; ನೀನು ಯಾತನೆಪಡುತ್ತಾ ಇದ್ದೀ.
2. 26ಇದಲ್ಲದೆ ಇಲ್ಲಿಂದ ನಿಮ್ಮ ಕಡೆಗೆ ದಾಟ ಬೇಕೆಂದಿರುವವರು ದಾಟದ ಹಾಗೆಯೂ ಅಲ್ಲಿಂದ ನಮ್ಮ ಕಡೆಗೆ ಬರಬೇಕೆಂದಿರುವವರು ಬಾರದಂತೆಯೂ ನಮಗೂ ನಿಮಗೂ ನಡುವೆ ಒಂದು ದೊಡ್ಡ ಅಗಾಧ ಸ್ಥಾಪಿಸಿಯದೆ ಅಂದನು.
3. 27ಆಗ ಅವನು--ಅಪ್ಪಾ, ಹಾಗಾದರೆ ನೀನು ಅವನನ್ನು ನನ್ನ ತಂದೆಯ ಮನೆಗೆ ಕಳುಹಿಸಬೇಕೆಂದು ನಾನು ನಿನ್ನನ್ನು ಬೇಡಿಕೊಳ್ಳುತ್ತೇನೆ.
4. 28ನನಗೆ ಐದುಮಂದಿ ಸಹೋದರರಿದ್ದಾರೆ; ಅವರು ಸಹ ಈ ಯಾತನೆಯ ಸ್ಥಳಕ್ಕೆ ಬಾರದ ಹಾಗೆ ಇವನು ಅವರಿಗೆ ಸಾಕ್ಷಿ ಕೊಡಲಿ ಅಂದನು.
5. 29ಅದಕ್ಕೆ ಅಬ್ರಹಾಮನು ಅವನಿಗೆ--ಅವರಿಗೆ ಮೋಶೆಯೂ ಪ್ರವಾದಿಗಳೂ ಇದ್ದಾರೆ. ಅವರು ಹೇಳಿದ್ದನ್ನು ಅವರು ಕೇಳಲಿ ಅಂದನು.
