ಆಗ ಸುಮಾರು ಆರನೇತಾಸಾಗಿತ್ತು; ಒಂಭತ್ತನೇ ತಾಸಿನವರೆಗೆ ಭೂಮಿಯ ಮೇಲೆಲ್ಲಾ ಕತ್ತಲೆ ಕವಿಯಿತು.

Aaga sumaaru aaranetaasaagittu; ombhattane taasinavarege bhoomiya melellaa kattale kaviyitu.

42ಇದಲ್ಲದೆ ಅವನು ಯೇಸು ವಿಗೆ--ಕರ್ತನೇ, ನೀನು ನಿನ್ನ ರಾಜ್ಯದಲ್ಲಿ ಬರುವಾಗ ನನ್ನನ್ನು ನೆನಪು ಮಾಡಿಕೋ ಅಂದನು.
43ಆಗ ಯೇಸು ಅವನಿಗೆ--ಈ ದಿನವೇ ನೀನು ನನ್ನೊಂದಿಗೆ ಪರದೈಸಿನಲ್ಲಿರುವಿ ಎಂದು ನಾನು ನಿನಗೆ ನಿಜವಾಗಿ ಹೇಳುತ್ತೇನೆ ಅಂದನು.
44ಆಗ ಸುಮಾರು ಆರನೇತಾಸಾಗಿತ್ತು; ಒಂಭತ್ತನೇ ತಾಸಿನವರೆಗೆ ಭೂಮಿಯ ಮೇಲೆಲ್ಲಾ ಕತ್ತಲೆ ಕವಿಯಿತು.
45ಇದಲ್ಲದೆ ಸೂರ್ಯನು ಕತ್ತಲಾದನು; ದೇವಾಲಯದ ತೆರೆಯು ಮಧ್ಯದಲ್ಲಿ ಹರಿಯಿತು.
46ಯೇಸು ಮಹಾಧ್ವನಿಯಿಂದ--ತಂದೆಯೇ, ನಾನು ನನ್ನ ಆತ್ಮವನ್ನು ನಿನ್ನ ಕೈಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಒಪ್ಪಿಸುತ್ತೇನೆ ಎಂದು ಕೂಗಿ ಹೇಳಿದನು; ಹೀಗೆ ಹೇಳಿದ ಮೇಲೆ ಆತನು ಪ್ರಾಣಬಿಟ್ಟನು.
