ಆಗ ಕೆಲವರು ಚಿಕ್ಕ ಮಕ್ಕಳನ್ನು ಆತನು ಮುಟ್ಟಬೇಕೆಂದು ಆತನ ಬಳಿಗೆ ಅವುಗಳನ್ನು ತಂದರು; ಆದರೆ ಆತನ ಶಿಷ್ಯರು ತಂದವರನ್ನು ಗದರಿಸಿದರು.

- 14ಆದರೆ ಯೇಸು ಅದನ್ನು ನೋಡಿದಾಗ ಬಹಳವಾಗಿ ಕೋಪಗೊಂಡು ಅವರಿಗೆ--ಚಿಕ್ಕಮಕ್ಕಳನ್ನು ನನ್ನ ಹತ್ತಿರಕ್ಕೆ ಬರಗೊಡಿಸಿರಿ; ಅವುಗಳಿಗೆ ಅಡ್ಡಿಮಾಡ ಬೇಡಿರಿ; ಯಾಕಂದರೆ ದೇವರ ರಾಜ್ಯವು ಇಂಥವರದೇ ಅಂದನು.
- 15ನಾನು ನಿಮಗೆ ನಿಜವಾಗಿ ಹೇಳುವದೇ ನಂದರೆ--ಯಾವನಾದರೂ ಚಿಕ್ಕ ಮಗುವಿನಂತೆ ದೇವರ ರಾಜ್ಯವನ್ನು ಅಂಗೀಕರಿಸದಿದ್ದರೆ ಅವನು ಅದರೊಳಗೆ ಪ್ರವೇಶಿಸುವದಿಲ್ಲ.
