ಆತನು ಪೇತ್ರ, ಯಾಕೋಬ, ಯಾಕೋಬನ ಸಹೋದರನಾದ ಯೋಹಾನ ಇವರನ್ನೇ ಹೊರತು ಬೇರೆ ಯಾರನ್ನೂ ತನ್ನ ಹಿಂದೆ ಬರಗೊಡಲಿಲ್ಲ.

- 38ಆತನು ಆ ಸಭಾಮಂದಿರದ ಅಧಿಕಾರಿಯ ಮನೆಗೆ ಬಂದು ಗೊಂದಲವನ್ನೂ ಬಹಳವಾಗಿ ಗೋಳಾಡುತ್ತಾ ಅಳುತ್ತಿರುವವರನ್ನೂ ಕಂಡನು.
- 39ಆತನು ಒಳಕ್ಕೆ ಬಂದಾಗ ಅವರಿಗೆ--ನೀವು ಈ ಗೊಂದಲ ಮಾಡು ವದೂ ಅಳುವದೂ ಯಾಕೆ? ಹುಡುಗಿಯು ಸತ್ತಿಲ್ಲ; ನಿದ್ರಿಸುತ್ತಿದ್ದಾಳೆ ಅಂದನು.
