ಯೇಸು ಅವ ನಿಗೆ--ಈ ರಾತ್ರಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಹುಂಜ ಕೂಗುವದಕ್ಕಿಂತ ಮುಂಚೆ ಮೂರು ಸಾರಿ ನನ್ನನ್ನು ಅಲ್ಲಗಳೆಯುವಿ ಎಂದು ನಾನು ನಿನಗೆ ನಿಜವಾಗಿ ಹೇಳುತ್ತೇನೆ ಅಂದನು.

Yesu ava nige--ee raatriyalli hunja kooguvadakkinta munche mooru saari nannannu allagaleyuvi endu naanu ninage nijavaagi heluttene andanu.

32ಆದರೆ ನಾನು ಎದ್ದ ಮೇಲೆ ನಿಮಗಿಂತ ಮುಂಚಿತ ವಾಗಿ ಗಲಿಲಾಯಕ್ಕೆ ಹೋಗುವೆನು ಅಂದನು.
33ಪೇತ್ರನು ಪ್ರತ್ಯುತ್ತರವಾಗಿ ಆತನಿಗೆ-- ಎಲ್ಲರೂ ನಿನ್ನ ವಿಷಯದಲ್ಲಿ ಅಭ್ಯಂತರಪಟ್ಟರೂ ನಾನು ಎಂದಿಗೂ ಅಭ್ಯಂತರಪಡುವದಿಲ್ಲ ಅಂದನು.
34ಯೇಸು ಅವ ನಿಗೆ--ಈ ರಾತ್ರಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಹುಂಜ ಕೂಗುವದಕ್ಕಿಂತ ಮುಂಚೆ ಮೂರು ಸಾರಿ ನನ್ನನ್ನು ಅಲ್ಲಗಳೆಯುವಿ ಎಂದು ನಾನು ನಿನಗೆ ನಿಜವಾಗಿ ಹೇಳುತ್ತೇನೆ ಅಂದನು.
35ಅದಕ್ಕೆ ಪೇತ್ರನು ಆತನಿಗೆ-- ನಿನ್ನೊಂದಿಗೆ ಸಾಯಬೇಕಾಗಿದ್ದರೂ ನಾನು ನಿನ್ನನ್ನು ಅಲ್ಲಗಳೆಯುವ ದೇ ಇಲ್ಲ ಅಂದನು. ಅದೇ ಪ್ರಕಾರ ಶಿಷ್ಯರೆಲ್ಲರೂ ಹೇಳಿದರು.
36ತರುವಾಯ ಯೇಸು ಶಿಷ್ಯರ ಸಂಗಡ ಗೆತ್ಸೇಮನೆ ಎಂಬ ಸ್ಥಳಕ್ಕೆ ಬಂದು ಅವರಿಗೆ--ನಾನು ಆಚೇ ಕಡೆಗೆ ಹೋಗಿ ಪ್ರಾರ್ಥಿಸುವಾಗ ನೀವು ಇಲ್ಲೇ ಕೂತುಕೊಳ್ಳಿರಿ ಅಂದನು.
