ಆಗ ಪಿಲಾತನು ಆತನಿಗೆ--ನಿನಗೆ ವಿರೋಧವಾಗಿ ಇವರು ಇಷ್ಟು ದೂರು ಹೇಳುವದನ್ನು ನೀನು ಕೇಳುವದಿಲ್ಲವೋ ಅಂದನು.
Aaga pilaatanu aatanige--ninage virodhavaagi ivaru ishtu dooru heluvadannu neenu keluvadillavo andanu.

- 14ಆತನು ಒಂದು ಮಾತಿಗಾದರೂ ಅವನಿಗೆ ಉತ್ತರಕೊಡದೆ ಇದ್ದದರಿಂದ ಅಧಿಪತಿಯು ಅತ್ಯಾಶ್ಚರ್ಯಪಟ್ಟನು.
- 15ಆ ಹಬ್ಬದಲ್ಲಿ ಜನರು ಇಷ್ಟಪಡುವ ಒಬ್ಬ ಸೆರೆಯವನನ್ನು ಅಧಿಪತಿಯು ಬಿಟ್ಟುಬಿಡುವ ಪದ್ಧತಿ ಯಿತ್ತು.
