ಅಧಿಪತಿಯು ಪ್ರತ್ಯುತ್ತರ ವಾಗಿ ಅವರಿಗೆ--ಈ ಇಬ್ಬರಲ್ಲಿ ನಿಮಗೆ ಯಾರನ್ನು ಬಿಟ್ಟು ಕೊಡಬೇಕನ್ನುತ್ತೀರಿ ಅನ್ನಲು ಅವರು--ಬರಬ್ಬನನ್ನು ಅಂದರು.

Adhipatiyu pratyuttara vaagi avarige--ee ibbaralli nimage yaarannu bittu kodabekannutteeri annalu avaru--barabbanannu andaru.

20ಆದರೆ ಪ್ರಧಾನ ಯಾಜಕರು ಮತ್ತು ಹಿರಿಯರು ಬರಬ್ಬನನ್ನು ಬಿಟ್ಟುಕೊಟ್ಟು ಯೇಸು ವನ್ನು ಕೊಲ್ಲುವಂತೆ ಬೇಡಿಕೊಳ್ಳುವ ಹಾಗೆ ಸಮೂಹ ವನ್ನು ಒಡಂಬಡಿಸಿದರು.
21ಅಧಿಪತಿಯು ಪ್ರತ್ಯುತ್ತರ ವಾಗಿ ಅವರಿಗೆ--ಈ ಇಬ್ಬರಲ್ಲಿ ನಿಮಗೆ ಯಾರನ್ನು ಬಿಟ್ಟು ಕೊಡಬೇಕನ್ನುತ್ತೀರಿ ಅನ್ನಲು ಅವರು--ಬರಬ್ಬನನ್ನು ಅಂದರು.
22ಪಿಲಾತನು ಅವರಿಗೆ--ಹಾಗಾದರೆ ಕ್ರಿಸ್ತನನ್ನಿಸಿಕೊಳ್ಳುವ ಯೇಸುವನ್ನು ನಾನೇನು ಮಾಡಲಿ ಅನ್ನಲು ಅವರೆಲ್ಲರೂ--ಅವನನ್ನು ಶಿಲುಬೆಗೆ ಹಾಕಿಸು ಎಂದು ಅವನಿಗೆ ಹೇಳಿದರು.
23ಆಗ ಅಧಿಪತಿಯು--ಯಾಕೆ? ಆತನು ಕೆಟ್ಟದ್ದೇನು ಮಾಡಿ ದ್ದಾನೆ ಅಂದನು. ಆದರೆ ಅವರು--ಆತನನ್ನು ಶಿಲುಬೆಗೆ ಹಾಕಿಸು ಎಂದು ಹೆಚ್ಚಾಗಿ ಕೂಗಿಕೊಂಡರು.
