ಚೀಯೋನಿನ ಕುಮಾರ್ತೆಯೇ, ಹೆರುವವಳಂತೆ ವೇದನೆಪಡು. ಈಗ ಪಟ್ಟಣದೊಳಗಿಂದ ಹೊರಟು ಹೊಲದಲ್ಲಿ ವಾಸಮಾಡಿ ಬಾಬೆಲಿಗೆ ಹೋಗುವಿ; ಅಲ್ಲಿ ನಿನಗೆ ಬಿಡುಗಡೆಯಾಗುವದು; ಅಲ್ಲಿ ಕರ್ತನು ನಿನ್ನನ್ನು ನಿನ್ನ ಶತ್ರುಗಳ ಕೈಯೊಳಗಿಂದ ವಿಮೋಚಿ ಸುವನು.

King James Version (KJV): Be in pain, and labour to bring forth, O daughter of Zion, like a woman in travail: for now shalt thou go forth out of the city, and thou shalt dwell in the field, and thou shalt go [even] to Babylon; there shalt thou be delivered; there the LORD shall redeem thee from the hand of thine enemies.

9ಈಗ ಯಾಕೆ ಗಟ್ಟಿಯಾಗಿ ಕೂಗುತ್ತೀ? ನಿನ್ನಲ್ಲಿ ಅರಸನಿಲ್ಲವೋ? ನಿನ್ನ ಆಲೋಚನಾಕರ್ತನು ನಾಶ ವಾದನೋ? ಹೆರುವವಳಂತೆ ನಿನಗೆ ವೇದನೆ ಬಂತು.
10ಚೀಯೋನಿನ ಕುಮಾರ್ತೆಯೇ, ಹೆರುವವಳಂತೆ ವೇದನೆಪಡು. ಈಗ ಪಟ್ಟಣದೊಳಗಿಂದ ಹೊರಟು ಹೊಲದಲ್ಲಿ ವಾಸಮಾಡಿ ಬಾಬೆಲಿಗೆ ಹೋಗುವಿ; ಅಲ್ಲಿ ನಿನಗೆ ಬಿಡುಗಡೆಯಾಗುವದು; ಅಲ್ಲಿ ಕರ್ತನು ನಿನ್ನನ್ನು ನಿನ್ನ ಶತ್ರುಗಳ ಕೈಯೊಳಗಿಂದ ವಿಮೋಚಿ ಸುವನು.
11ಆದರೆ ಈಗ ಅನೇಕ ಜನಾಂಗಗಳು ನಿನಗೆ ವಿರೋಧವಾಗಿ ಕೂಡಿಬಂದಿವೆ; ಅವರು--ಅವಳು ಕೆಡಿಸಲ್ಪಡಲಿ, ಚೀಯೋನಿನ ಮೇಲೆ ನಮ್ಮ ಕಣ್ಣುಗಳು ದೃಷ್ಟಿಸಲಿ ಎಂದು ಹೇಳುತ್ತಾರೆ.
12ಆದರೆ ಕರ್ತನ ಯೋಚನೆಗಳು ಅವರಿಗೆ ತಿಳಿಯವು, ಆತನ ಆಲೋಚನೆಯನ್ನು ಅವರು ಗ್ರಹಿಸಲಿಲ್ಲ; ಕಣದಲ್ಲಿ ಸಿವುಡುಗಳ ಹಾಗೆ ಅವರನ್ನು ಕೂಡಿಸುವನು.ಚೀಯೋನಿನ ಕುಮಾರ್ತೆಯೇ; ಎದ್ದು ತುಳಿ. ನಿನ್ನ ಕೊಂಬನ್ನು ಕಬ್ಬಿಣವಾಗಿಯೂ ನಿನ್ನ ಗೊರಸೆಗಳನ್ನು ತಾಮ್ರವಾಗಿಯೂ ಮಾಡುವೆನು. ನೀನು ಅನೇಕ ಜನಗಳನ್ನು ಪುಡಿಪುಡಿಮಾಡುವಿ; ಮತ್ತು ಅವರ ಲಾಭವನ್ನು ಕರ್ತನಿಗೂ ಅವರ ಸಂಪತ್ತನ್ನು ಸಮಸ್ತ ಭೂಮಿಯ ಕರ್ತನಿಗೂ ಪ್ರತಿಷ್ಠೆ ಮಾಡುವೆನು.
