ನಮ್ಮ ಸುತ್ತಲೂ ಇರುವ ಜನಾಂಗಗಳಿಂದ ಬಂದವರ ಹೊರ ತು ಯೆಹೂದ್ಯರೂ ಅಧಿಕಾರಸ್ಥರೂ ನೂರ ಐವತ್ತು ಮಂದಿ ನನ್ನ ಮೇಜಿಗೆ ಸೇರುತ್ತಿದ್ದರು.

- 15ಆದರೆ ನನಗಿಂತ ಮುಂಚೆ ಇದ್ದ ಅಧಿಪತಿಗಳು ಜನರಿಗೆ ಭಾರವಾಗಿದ್ದು ನಾಲ್ವತ್ತು ಬೆಳ್ಳಿಯ ಶೇಕೆಲುಗಳ ಹೊರ ತಾಗಿ ಅವರಿಂದ ರೊಟ್ಟಿಯನ್ನೂ ದ್ರಾಕ್ಷಾರಸವನ್ನೂ ತೆಗೆದುಕೊಳ್ಳುತ್ತಾ ಇದ್ದರು. ಅವರ ಸೇವಕರು ಸಹ ಜನರನ್ನು ಆಳುತ್ತಾ ಇದ್ದರು. ಆದರೆ ದೇವರ ಭಯದ ನಿಮಿತ್ತ ನಾನು ಹೀಗೆ ಮಾಡಿದವನಲ್ಲ.
- 16ಇದಲ್ಲದೆ ನಾನು ಈ ಗೋಡೆಯ ಕಾರ್ಯದಲ್ಲಿ ನೆಲೆಯಾಗಿದ್ದೆನು. ನಾವು ಭೂಮಿಯನ್ನು ಕೊಂಡುಕೊಳ್ಳಲಿಲ್ಲ. ನನ್ನ ಸೇವಕರೆಲ್ಲರು ಕೆಲಸಕ್ಕೆ ಕೂಡಿ ಬಂದರು.

- 18ಪ್ರತಿದಿನಕ್ಕೆ ಸಿದ್ಧಮಾಡಿದ್ದೇನಂದರೆ, ಒಂದು ಎತ್ತೂ ಉತ್ತಮವಾದ ಆರು ಕುರಿಗಳೂ; ಕೋಳಿಗಳೂ, ಹತ್ತು ದಿವಸಕ್ಕೆ ಒಂದು ಸಾರಿ ಸಕಲ ವಿಧವಾದ ದ್ರಾಕ್ಷಾರಸವೂ ನನಗೋಸ್ಕರ ಸಿದ್ಧಮಾಡಲ್ಪಟ್ಟವು. ಆದರೆ ಈ ಜನರ ಮೇಲೆ ಇದ್ದ ದಾಸತ್ವ ಭಾರವಾಗಿದ್ದದರಿಂದ ನಾನು ಅಧಿಪತಿಯಾದವನ ರೊಟ್ಟಿಯನ್ನು ಇದಕ್ಕೋಸ್ಕರ ಕೇಳಿದ್ದಿಲ್ಲ.ನನ್ನ ದೇವರೆ, ನನಗೆ ಮೇಲನ್ನು ಮಾಡಲು ನಾನು ಈ ಜನರಿಗೆ ಮಾಡಿದ ಎಲ್ಲವನ್ನು ಜ್ಞಾಪಕಮಾಡು.
