ಅವರು ಬಿಳಾಮನ ಬಳಿಗೆ ಬಂದು ಅವನಿಗೆ ಹೇಳಿ ದ್ದೇನಂದರೆ--ಚಿಪ್ಪೋರನ ಮಗನಾದ ಬಾಲಾಕನು ಹೀಗೆ ಹೇಳುತ್ತಾನೆ--ನೀನು ದಯಮಾಡಿ ನನ್ನ ಬಳಿಗೆ ಬರುವದಕ್ಕೆ ಯಾವದೂ ಅಡ್ಡಿಮಾಡಬಾರದು.

14ಮೋವಾಬಿನ ಪ್ರಭುಗಳು ಎದ್ದು ಬಾಲಾಕನ ಬಳಿಗೆ ಬಂದು--ಬಿಳಾಮನು ನಮ್ಮ ಸಂಗಡ ಬರಲೊಲ್ಲನು ಅಂದರು.
15ಆದರೆ ಬಾಲಾಕನು ತಿರಿಗಿ ಇವರಿಗಿಂತ ಹೆಚ್ಚು ಘನವುಳ್ಳವರಾದ ಅನೇಕ ಪ್ರಭುಗಳನ್ನು ಕಳುಹಿಸಿದನು.

17ನಾನು ನಿನ್ನನ್ನು ಬಹಳವಾಗಿ ಘನಪಡಿಸುವೆನು; ನೀನು ನನಗೆ ಹೇಳುವದನ್ನೆಲ್ಲಾ ನಾನು ಮಾಡುವೆನು; ಆದಕಾರಣ ನೀನು ದಯಮಾಡಿ ಬಂದು ಈ ಜನರನ್ನು ನನಗಾಗಿ ಶಪಿಸು ಅಂದನು.
18ಬಿಳಾಮನು ಪ್ರತ್ಯುತ್ತರ ವಾಗಿ ಬಾಲಾಕನ ಸೇವಕರಿಗೆ ಹೇಳಿದ್ದೇನಂದರೆ--ಬಾಲಾಕನು ನನಗೆ ತನ್ನ ಮನೆ ತುಂಬ ಬೆಳ್ಳಿಯನ್ನು ಬಂಗಾರವನ್ನು ಕೊಟ್ಟರೂ ನಾನು ನನ್ನ ದೇವರಾಗಿರುವ ಕರ್ತನ ಮಾತನ್ನು ವಿಾರಿ ಹೆಚ್ಚು ಕಡಿಮೆ ಏನನ್ನೂ ಮಾಡಲಾರೆನು.
