1. 22ಅವನು ಹೋದದರಿಂದ ದೇವರ ಕೋಪವು ಉರಿಯಿತು. ಕರ್ತನ ದೂತನು ಅವನಿಗೆ ಎದುರಾಳಿ ಯಾಗಿ ಮಾರ್ಗದಲ್ಲಿ ನಿಂತುಕೊಂಡನು; ಆದರೆ ಅವನು ತನ್ನ ಕತ್ತೆಯ ಮೇಲೆ ಹತ್ತಿಕೊಂಡಿದ್ದನು; ಅವನ ಇಬ್ಬರು ಆಳುಗಳು ಅವನ ಸಂಗಡ ಇದ್ದರು.
2. 23ಕತ್ತೆಯು ಮಾರ್ಗದಲ್ಲಿ ನಿಂತಿದ್ದ ಕರ್ತನ ದೂತನನ್ನೂ ಅವನ ಕೈಯಲ್ಲಿರುವ ಬಿಚ್ಚು ಕತ್ತಿಯನ್ನೂ ನೋಡಿ ಮಾರ್ಗದಿಂದ ವಾರೆಯಾಗಿ ಹೊಲದೊಳಗೆ ಹೋಯಿತು; ಆಗ ಬಿಳಾಮನು ಕತ್ತೆಯನ್ನು ಮಾರ್ಗದೊಳಗೆ ತಿರುಗಿಸು ವದಕ್ಕೆ ಅದನ್ನು ಹೊಡೆದನು.
3. 24ಆದರೆ ಕರ್ತನ ದೂತನು ದ್ರಾಕ್ಷೇತೋಟಗಳ ಹಾದಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಈಚೆ ಆಚೆ ಗೋಡೆ ಇದ್ದಲ್ಲಿ ನಿಂತನು.
4. 25ಕತ್ತೆಯು ಕರ್ತನ ದೂತನನ್ನು ನೋಡಿ ಗೋಡೆಗೆ ಒತ್ತಿಕೊಂಡು ಬಿಳಾಮನ ಕಾಲನ್ನು ಗೋಡೆಗೆ ಒತ್ತಿ ಹಾಕಿತು; ಅವನು ಅದನ್ನು ಹೆಚ್ಚಾಗಿ ಹೊಡೆದನು.
5. 26ಆಗ ಕರ್ತನ ದೂತನು ಮುಂದೆ ಹೋಗಿ ಬಲಕ್ಕೂ ಎಡಕ್ಕೂ ತಿರುಗುವದಕ್ಕೆ ಮಾರ್ಗವಿಲ್ಲದ ಇಕ್ಕಟ್ಟಿನ ಸ್ಥಳದಲ್ಲಿ ನಿಂತನು.
