1. 12ನಾನು ಇಗೋ, ನಾನೇ ಇಸ್ರಾ ಯೇಲ್‌ ಮಕ್ಕಳಲ್ಲಿ ಗರ್ಭ ತೆರೆಯುವಂಥ ಎಲ್ಲಾ ಚೊಚ್ಚಲಾದವುಗಳಿಗೆ ಬದಲಾಗಿ ಲೇವಿಯರನ್ನು ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲ್‌ ಮಕ್ಕಳೊಳಗಿಂದ ತೆಗೆದುಕೊಂಡಿ ದ್ದೇನೆ. ಆದದರಿಂದ ಲೇವಿಯರು ನನ್ನವರಾಗಿರುವರು.
2. 13ಚೊಚ್ಚಲಾದವರೆಲ್ಲರೂ ನನ್ನವರೇ. ನಾನು ಐಗುಪ್ತ ದೇಶದಲ್ಲಿ ಚೊಚ್ಚಲಾದವುಗಳನ್ನೆಲ್ಲಾ ಹೊಡೆದ ದಿನ ದಲ್ಲಿ ನಾನು ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಮನುಷ್ಯರಲ್ಲಿಯೂ ಪಶುಗಳಲ್ಲಿಯೂ ಚೊಚ್ಚಲಾದದ್ದನ್ನೆಲ್ಲಾ ಪರಿಶುದ್ಧ ಮಾಡಿಕೊಂಡಿದ್ದೇನೆ. ಅವರು ನನ್ನವರಾಗಿರಬೇಕು. ನಾನೇ ಕರ್ತನು.
3. 14ಕರ್ತನು ಸೀನಾಯಿ ಅರಣ್ಯದಲ್ಲಿ ಮೋಶೆಯ ಸಂಗಡ ಮಾತನಾಡಿ ಹೇಳಿದ್ದೇನಂದರೆ--
4. 15ಲೇವಿಯ ಕುಮಾರರನ್ನು ಅವರ ತಂದೆಗಳ ಮನೆಯ ಪ್ರಕಾರ ವಾಗಿಯೂ ಅವರ ಕುಟುಂಬಗಳ ಪ್ರಕಾರವಾಗಿಯೂ ಎಣಿಸು. ಒಂದು ತಿಂಗಳು ಮೊದಲುಗೊಂಡು ಮೇಲ್ಪಟ್ಟ ಪ್ರಾಯವುಳ್ಳ ಗಂಡಸರೆಲ್ಲರನ್ನೂ ನೀನು ಎಣಿಸು ಅಂದನು.
5. 16ಆಗ ಮೋಶೆಯು ತನಗೆ ಕರ್ತನು ಆಜ್ಞಾಪಿಸಿದ ಮಾತಿನ ಪ್ರಕಾರವಾಗಿ ಎಣಿಸಿದನು.
