1. 18ಯಾಜಕನು ಆ ಸ್ತ್ರೀಯನ್ನು ಕರ್ತನ ಸಮ್ಮುಖದಲ್ಲಿ ನಿಲ್ಲಿಸಿ ಆಕೆಯ ತಲೆಯ ಮೇಲಿರುವ ಮುಸುಕನ್ನು ತೆಗೆದು ಅವಳ ಕೈಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ರೋಷದ ಕಾಣಿಕೆಯಾಗಿರುವ ಜ್ಞಾಪಕದ ಕಾಣಿಕೆಯನ್ನು ಇಡಬೇಕು. ಆದರೆ ಯಾಜಕನ ಕೈಯಲ್ಲಿ ಶಪಿಸುವಂತ ಕಹಿಯಾದ ನೀರು ಇರಬೇಕು.
2. 19ಆಗ ಯಾಜಕನು ಅವಳನ್ನು ಪ್ರಮಾಣಮಾಡಿಸಿ ಹೇಳಬೇಕಾದದ್ದು: ಒಬ್ಬ ಮನುಷ್ಯನು ನಿನ್ನ ಸಂಗಡ ಮಲಗದೆ ನೀನು ಅಪವಿತ್ರಳಾಗಿ ನಿನ್ನ ಗಂಡನನ್ನು ಬಿಟ್ಟು ಜಾರತ್ವಮಾಡದೆ ಇದ್ದರೆ ಶಪಿಸುವ ಈ ಕಹಿಯಾದ ನೀರಿಗೆ ನಿರಪರಾಧಿಯಾಗು.
3. 20ಆದರೆ ನೀನು ನಿನ್ನ ಗಂಡನನ್ನು ಬಿಟ್ಟು ಜಾರತ್ವಮಾಡಿ ಅಶುದ್ಧಳಾಗಿದ್ದರೆ ನಿನ್ನ ಗಂಡನನ್ನು ಬಿಟ್ಟು ಮತ್ತೊಬ್ಬನು ನಿನ್ನ ಸಂಗಡ ಮಲಗಿದ್ದರೆ
4. 21ಯಾಜಕನು ಶಾಪದ ಪ್ರಮಾಣ ದಿಂದ ಆ ಸ್ತ್ರೀಗೆ ಹೇಳಬೇಕಾದದ್ದೇನಂದರೆ--ಕರ್ತನು ನಿನ್ನ ತೊಡೆಯನ್ನು ಕ್ಷೀಣವಾಗುವಂತೆಯೂ ನಿನ್ನ ಹೊಟ್ಟೆಯನ್ನು ಉಬ್ಬುವಂತೆಯೂ ಮಾಡುವದರಿಂದ ಕರ್ತನು ನಿನ್ನನ್ನು ನಿನ್ನ ಜನರೊಳಗೆ ಶಾಪವನ್ನಾಗಿಯೂ ದೂಷಣೆಯನ್ನಾಗಿಯೂ ಇಡಲಿ.
5. 22ಶಪಿಸುವಂಥ ಈ ನೀರು ಹೊಟ್ಟೆಯನ್ನು ಉಬ್ಬಿಸುವದಕ್ಕೂ ತೊಡೆಯನ್ನು ಕ್ಷೀಣಿಸುವದಕ್ಕೂ ನಿನ್ನ ಕರುಳುಗಳ ಒಳಗೆ ಹೋಗು ವದು; ಈ ಪ್ರಕಾರ ಯಾಜಕನು ಆ ಸ್ತ್ರೀಯನ್ನು ಶಾಪದ ಪ್ರಮಾಣದಿಂದ ಪ್ರಮಾಣ ಮಾಡಿಸಬೇಕು. ಅದಕ್ಕೆ ಆ ಸ್ತ್ರೀಯು--ಹಾಗೆಯೇ ಆಗಲಿ ಅನ್ನಬೇಕು.
