ಆಗ ಯಾಜಕನು ಕಾಣಿಕೆಯಿಂದ ಜ್ಞಾಪಕಭಾಗವಾಗಿ ಒಂದು ಹಿಡಿ ತಕ್ಕೊಂಡು ಯಜ್ಞವೇದಿಯ ಮೇಲೆ ಸುಟ್ಟು ಸ್ತ್ರೀಗೆ ಆ ನೀರನ್ನು ಕುಡಿಸಬೇಕು.

- 24ಆ ಸ್ತ್ರೀಗೆ ಶಪಿಸುವಂತ ಕಹಿಯಾದ ನೀರನ್ನು ಕುಡಿಸಬೇಕು. ಆಗ ಶಪಿಸುವ ನೀರು ಅವಳಲ್ಲಿ ಸೇರಿ ಕಹಿಯಾಗುವದು.
- 25ಯಾಜಕನು ಆ ಸ್ತ್ರೀಯ ಕೈಯಿಂದ ರೋಷದ ಕಾಣಿಕೆಯನ್ನು ತಕ್ಕೊಂಡು ಆ ಕಾಣಿಕೆಯನ್ನು ಕರ್ತನ ಸಮ್ಮುಖದಲ್ಲಿ ಅಲ್ಲಾಡಿಸಿ ಬಲಿ ಪೀಠದ ಸವಿಾಪಕ್ಕೆ ತರಬೇಕು.
- 26ಆಗ ಯಾಜಕನು ಕಾಣಿಕೆಯಿಂದ ಜ್ಞಾಪಕಭಾಗವಾಗಿ ಒಂದು ಹಿಡಿ ತಕ್ಕೊಂಡು ಯಜ್ಞವೇದಿಯ ಮೇಲೆ ಸುಟ್ಟು ಸ್ತ್ರೀಗೆ ಆ ನೀರನ್ನು ಕುಡಿಸಬೇಕು.
- 27ಆಕೆಗೆ ಆ ನೀರನ್ನು ಕುಡಿಸಿದ ಮೇಲೆ ಆಕೆಯು ಅಶುದ್ಧಳಾಗಿ ತನ್ನ ಗಂಡನಿಗೆ ಅಪರಾಧ ಮಾಡಿದ್ದಾಗಿದ್ದರೆ ಶಪಿಸುವ ನೀರು ಆಕೆ ಯೊಳಗೆ ಸೇರಿ ಕಹಿಯಾಗುವದು; ಅವಳ ಹೊಟ್ಟೆ ಉಬ್ಬಿ ತೊಡೆ ಕ್ಷೀಣವಾಗುವದು. ಆಗ ಆ ಸ್ತ್ರೀ ತನ್ನ ಜನರ ಮಧ್ಯದಲ್ಲಿ ಶಾಪವಾಗಿರುವಳು.
- 28ಆದರೆ ಆ ಸ್ತ್ರೀ ಅಶುದ್ಧಳಲ್ಲದೆ ಶುದ್ಧಳಾಗಿದ್ದರೆ ಅವಳು ನಿರಪರಾಧಿ ಯಾಗಿದ್ದು ಸಂತಾನವನ್ನು ಪಡೆಯುವಳು.
