ಜ್ಞಾನಿಯಾದ ಮಗನು ತಂದೆಗೆ ಸಂತೋಷವನ್ನುಂಟು ಮಾಡುತ್ತಾನೆ; ಆಜ್ಞಾನಿ ಯಾದ ಮಗನಾದರೋ ತನ್ನ ತಾಯಿಗೆ ಭಾರವಾಗಿ ದ್ದಾನೆ.
The proverbs of Solomon. A wise son maketh a glad father: but a foolish son [is] the heaviness of his mother.
ಕೆಟ್ಟತನದ ಸಂಪತ್ತುಗಳು ಪ್ರಯೋಜನವಿಲ್ಲ; ನೀತಿಯು ಮರಣದಿಂದ ಬಿಡಿಸುತ್ತದೆ.
Treasures of wickedness profit nothing: but righteousness delivereth from death.
ನೀತಿವಂತನ ಪ್ರಾಣವನ್ನು ಕರ್ತನು ಹಸಿವೆಗೊಳಿಸನು; ದುಷ್ಟರ ಆಸ್ತಿಯನ್ನು ಆತನು ತಳ್ಳಿಹಾಕುತ್ತಾನೆ.
The LORD will not suffer the soul of the righteous to famish: but he casteth away the substance of the wicked.
ಬಿಗಿ ಇಲ್ಲದ ಕೈಯಿಂದ ವ್ಯಾಪಾರ ಮಾಡುವವನು ದರಿದ್ರನಾಗು ವನು; ಆದರೆ ಚುರುಕಾದ ಕೈ ಐಶ್ವರ್ಯವನ್ನುಂಟು ಮಾಡುತ್ತದೆ.
He becometh poor that dealeth [with] a slack hand: but the hand of the diligent maketh rich.
ಬೇಸಿಗೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಕೂಡಿಸುವವನು ಬುದ್ಧಿ ವಂತನಾದ ಮಗನು ಸುಗ್ಗಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ನಿದ್ರೆಮಾಡುವವನು ನಾಚಿಕೆಪಡಿಸುವ ಮಗನು.
He that gathereth in summer [is] a wise son: [but] he that sleepeth in harvest [is] a son that causeth shame.
ನೀತಿವಂತರ ತಲೆಯ ಮೇಲೆ ಆಶೀರ್ವಾದಗಳು ಇವೆ; ಆದರೆ ದುಷ್ಟನ ಬಾಯಿಯನ್ನು ಬಲಾತ್ಕಾರವು ಮುಚ್ಚುತ್ತದೆ.
Blessings [are] upon the head of the just: but violence covereth the mouth of the wicked.
ನೀತಿ ವಂತರ ಸ್ಮರಣೆಯು ಧನ್ಯಕರವಾಗಿದೆ; ದುಷ್ಟರ ಹೆಸರು ಕೊಳೆಯುತ್ತದೆ.
The memory of the just [is] blessed: but the name of the wicked shall rot.
ಜ್ಞಾನ ಹೃದಯದವರು ಆಜ್ಞೆಗಳನ್ನು ಸ್ವೀಕರಿಸುವರು. ಹರಟೆಯ ಮೂರ್ಖನು ಬೀಳುವನು.
The wise in heart will receive commandments: but a prating fool shall fall.
ಯಥಾರ್ಥವಾಗಿ ನಡೆಯುತ್ತಿರುವವನು ದೃಢವಾಗಿ ನಡೆಯುತ್ತಾನೆ; ತನ್ನ ಮಾರ್ಗಗಳನ್ನು ಡೊಂಕು ಮಾಡು ತ್ತಿರುವವನು ಬಯಲಿಗೆ ಬರುವನು.
He that walketh uprightly walketh surely: but he that perverteth his ways shall be known.
ಕಣ್ಣು ಮಿಟಕಿ ಸುವವನು ದುಃಖವನ್ನುಂಟುಮಾಡುತ್ತಾನೆ; ಹರಟೆಯ ಮೂರ್ಖನು ಬೀಳುವನು.
He that winketh with the eye causeth sorrow: but a prating fool shall fall.
ನೀತಿವಂತನ ಬಾಯಿ ಯು ಜೀವಕರವಾದ ಬಾವಿ; ದುಷ್ಟನ ಬಾಯನ್ನು ಬಲಾತ್ಕಾರವು ಮುಚ್ಚುತ್ತದೆ.
The mouth of a righteous [man is] a well of life: but violence covereth the mouth of the wicked.
ದ್ವೇಷವು ಜಗಳಗಳನ್ನು ಎಬ್ಬಿಸುತ್ತದೆ; ಪ್ರೀತಿಯು ಎಲ್ಲಾ ಪಾಪಗಳನ್ನು ಮುಚ್ಚು ತ್ತದೆ.
Hatred stirreth up strifes: but love covereth all sins.
ವಿವೇಕವುಳ್ಳ ತುಟಿಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಜ್ಞಾನವು ಸಿಕ್ಕು ತ್ತದೆ; ವಿವೇಕವಿಲ್ಲದವನ ಬೆನ್ನಿಗೆ ಬೆತ್ತವೇ ಸರಿ.
In the lips of him that hath understanding wisdom is found: but a rod [is] for the back of him that is void of understanding.
ಜ್ಞಾನಿ ಗಳು ತಿಳುವಳಿಕೆಯನ್ನು ಇಟ್ಟುಕೊಳ್ಳುತ್ತಾರೆ; ಆದರೆ ಮೂರ್ಖನ ಬಾಯಿ ನಾಶನಕ್ಕೆ ಸವಿಾಪವಾಗಿದೆ.
Wise [men] lay up knowledge: but the mouth of the foolish [is] near destruction.
ಐಶ್ವರ್ಯವಂತನ ಸಂಪತ್ತು ಅವನ ಬಲವಾದ ಪಟ್ಟಣ; ಬಡವರ ನಾಶನವು ಅವರ ಬಡತನವೇ.
The rich man’s wealth [is] his strong city: the destruction of the poor [is] their poverty.
ನೀತಿವಂತರ ಪ್ರಯಾಸವು ಜೀವಕ್ಕಾಗಿಯೂ ದುಷ್ಟರ ಫಲವು ಪಾಪಕ್ಕಾಗಿಯೂ ಇವೆ.
The labour of the righteous [tendeth] to life: the fruit of the wicked to sin.
ಶಿಕ್ಷಣವನ್ನು ಕೈಕೊಳ್ಳುವವನು ಜೀವನದ ಮಾರ್ಗದಲ್ಲಿ ಇದ್ದಾನೆ; ಗದರಿಕೆಯನ್ನು ತಿರಸ್ಕರಿಸುವವನು ತಪ್ಪುಮಾಡುತ್ತಾನೆ.
He [is in] the way of life that keepeth instruction: but he that refuseth reproof erreth.
ಸುಳ್ಳಾಡುವ ತುಟಿಗಳಿಂದ ಹಗೆಯನ್ನಿಟ್ಟುಕೊಂಡ ವನೂ ಚಾಡಿಹೇಳುವವನೂ ಮೂರ್ಖನು.
He that hideth hatred [with] lying lips, and he that uttereth a slander, [is] a fool.
ಹೆಚ್ಚು ಮಾತುಗಳಿಂದ ಪಾಪಕ್ಕೆ ಕೊರತೆ ಇರುವದಿಲ್ಲ. ತನ್ನ ತುಟಿಗಳನ್ನು ತಡೆಯುವವನು ಜ್ಞಾನವಂತನು.
In the multitude of words there wanteth not sin: but he that refraineth his lips [is] wise.
ನೀತಿ ವಂತರ ನಾಲಿಗೆಯು ಚೊಕ್ಕ ಬೆಳ್ಳಿಯಂತಿದೆ; ದುಷ್ಟರ ಹೃದಯವು ಅಲ್ಪವಾದದ್ದು.
The tongue of the just [is as] choice silver: the heart of the wicked [is] little worth.
ನೀತಿವಂತರ ತುಟಿಗಳು ಅನೇಕರನ್ನು ಪೋಷಿಸುತ್ತವೆ. ಜ್ಞಾನದ ಕೊರತೆಯಿಂದ ಅವಿವೇಕಿಗಳು ಸಾಯುತ್ತಾರೆ.
The lips of the righteous feed many: but fools die for want of wisdom.
ಕರ್ತನ ಆರ್ಶೀ ವಾದವು ಐಶ್ವರ್ಯವನ್ನುಂಟು ಮಾಡುವದು. ಅದ ರೊಂದಿಗೆ ಆತನು ಯಾವ ದುಃಖವನ್ನೂ ಸೇರಿಸುವ ದಿಲ್ಲ.
The blessing of the LORD, it maketh rich, and he addeth no sorrow with it.
ಬುದ್ಧಿಹೀನನಿಗೆ ಕೇಡು ಮಾಡುವದು ಹಾಸ್ಯಾ ಸ್ಪದವಾಗಿದೆ; ಆದರೆ ಗ್ರಹಿಸುವವನಿಗೆ ಜ್ಞಾನವಿದೆ.
[It is] as sport to a fool to do mischief: but a man of understanding hath wisdom.
ದುಷ್ಟನ ಭಯವು ಅವನ ಮೇಲೆ ಬರುವದು; ನೀತಿವಂತರ ಇಷ್ಟವು ಸಫಲವಾಗುವದು.
The fear of the wicked, it shall come upon him: but the desire of the righteous shall be granted.
ಹೇಗೆ ಬಿರುಗಾಳಿಯು ಬೀಸುವದೋ ಹಾಗೆಯೇ ದುಷ್ಟರು ಇಲ್ಲವಾಗುವರು. ನೀತಿವಂತನು ಶಾಶ್ವತವಾದ ಅಸ್ತಿವಾರ ವಾಗಿದ್ದಾನೆ.
As the whirlwind passeth, so [is] the wicked no [more:] but the righteous [is] an everlasting foundation.
ಹಲ್ಲುಗಳಿಗೆ ಹುಳಿಯೂ ಕಣ್ಣುಗಳಿಗೆ ಹೊಗೆಯೂ ಹೇಗೋ ಹಾಗೆಯೇ ತನ್ನನ್ನು ಕಳುಹಿಸು ವವರಿಗೆ ಸೋಮಾರಿಯೂ ಇರುವನು.
As vinegar to the teeth, and as smoke to the eyes, so [is] the sluggard to them that send him.
ಕರ್ತನ ಭಯವು ದಿನಗಳನ್ನು ಹೆಚ್ಚಿಸುತ್ತದೆ; ದುಷ್ಟರ ವರುಷ ಗಳು ಕಡಿಮೆ ಮಾಡಲ್ಪಡುವವು.
The fear of the LORD prolongeth days: but the years of the wicked shall be shortened.
ನೀತಿವಂತರ ನಿರೀ ಕ್ಷೆಯು ಆನಂದಕರವಾಗಿರುವದು; ಆದರೆ ದುಷ್ಟರ ನಿರೀಕ್ಷೆಯು ನಾಶವಾಗುವದು.
The hope of the righteous [shall be] gladness: but the expectation of the wicked shall perish.
ಯಥಾರ್ಥವಂತರಿಗೆ ಕರ್ತನ ಮಾರ್ಗವು ಬಲವಾಗಿದೆ; ಅಕ್ರಮ ಮಾಡುವ ವರಿಗೆ ಅದು ನಾಶನವಾಗಿರುವದು.
The way of the LORD [is] strength to the upright: but destruction [shall be] to the workers of iniquity.
ನೀತಿವಂತರು ಎಂದಿಗೂ ಕದಲುವದೇ ಇಲ್ಲ; ದುಷ್ಟರು ಭೂಮಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ವಾಸಮಾಡುವದಿಲ್ಲ.
The righteous shall never be removed: but the wicked shall not inhabit the earth.
ನೀತಿವಂತರ ಬಾಯಿಯು ಜ್ಞಾನವನ್ನು ಫಲಿಸುತ್ತದೆ; ಮೂರ್ಖನ ನಾಲಿಗೆಯು ಕತ್ತರಿಸಲ್ಪಡುವದು.ಯಾವದು ಅಂಗೀಕರಿಸ ತಕ್ಕದ್ದೋ ಅದು ನೀತಿವಂತರ ತುಟಿಗಳಿಗೆ ತಿಳಿಯು ವದು; ದುಷ್ಟರ ಬಾಯಿಯು ಮೂರ್ಖತನವನ್ನು ಹೊರಗೆಡುವುತ್ತದೆ.
The mouth of the just bringeth forth wisdom: but the froward tongue shall be cut out.
ಯಾವದು ಅಂಗೀಕರಿಸ ತಕ್ಕದ್ದೋ ಅದು ನೀತಿವಂತರ ತುಟಿಗಳಿಗೆ ತಿಳಿಯು ವದು; ದುಷ್ಟರ ಬಾಯಿಯು ಮೂರ್ಖತನವನ್ನು ಹೊರಗೆಡುವುತ್ತದೆ.
The lips of the righteous know what is acceptable: but the mouth of the wicked [speaketh] frowardness.
