ಮೋಸದ ತಕ್ಕಡಿ ಕರ್ತನಿಗೆ ಅಸಹ್ಯವಾಗಿದೆ; ನ್ಯಾಯದ ತೂಕ ಆತನ ಆನಂದವು.
A false balance [is] abomination to the LORD: but a just weight [is] his delight.
ಗರ್ವ ಬಂದಾಗ ನಾಚಿಕೆಯೂ ಬರುತ್ತದೆ; ದೀನರಲ್ಲಿ ಜ್ಞಾನವಿದೆ.
[When] pride cometh, then cometh shame: but with the lowly [is] wisdom.
ಯಥಾರ್ಥವಂತರ ಪ್ರಾಮಾಣಿಕತೆ ಅವರನ್ನು ನಡಿಸುವದು; ಅಪರಾಧದ ಮೂರ್ಖತನವು ಅವರನ್ನು ನಾಶಪಡಿಸುವದು.
The integrity of the upright shall guide them: but the perverseness of transgressors shall destroy them.
ಉಗ್ರತೆಯ ದಿನದಲ್ಲಿ ಐಶ್ವರ್ಯವು ಲಾಭಕರವಾಗುವದಿಲ್ಲ; ನೀತಿಯು ಮರಣ ದಿಂದ ಬಿಡಿಸುತ್ತದೆ.
Riches profit not in the day of wrath: but righteousness delivereth from death.
ಸಂಪೂರ್ಣನ ನೀತಿಯು ಅವನ ಮಾರ್ಗವನ್ನು ಸರಾಗಮಾಡುವದು; ದುಷ್ಟನು ತನ್ನ ದುಷ್ಟತ್ವದಿಂದಲೇ ಬೀಳುವನು.
The righteousness of the perfect shall direct his way: but the wicked shall fall by his own wickedness.
ಯಥಾರ್ಥವಂತರ ನೀತಿಯು ಅವರನ್ನು ಬಿಡಿಸುವದು; ತಮ್ಮ ಸ್ವಂತ ತುಂಟ ತನದಲ್ಲಿ ದೋಷಿಗಳು ಸಿಕ್ಕಿಬೀಳುವರು.
The righteousness of the upright shall deliver them: but transgressors shall be taken in [their own] naughtiness.
ದುಷ್ಟನು ಸಾಯುವಾಗ ಅವನ ನಿರೀಕ್ಷೆಗಳು ಹಾಳಾಗುವವು; ಅನೀತಿವಂತನ ನಿರೀಕ್ಷೆಯು ನಾಶವಾಗುವದು.
When a wicked man dieth, [his] expectation shall perish: and the hope of unjust [men] perisheth.
ನೀತಿವಂತನು ಇಕ್ಕಟ್ಟಿನಿಂದ ತಪ್ಪಿಸಿಕೊಳ್ಳುತ್ತಾನೆ; ಅವನ ಸ್ಥಳದಲ್ಲಿ ದುಷ್ಟನು ಬರುತ್ತಾನೆ.
The righteous is delivered out of trouble, and the wicked cometh in his stead.
ಒಬ್ಬ ಕಪಟಿಯು ಬಾಯಿಂದ ತನ್ನ ನೆರೆಯವನನ್ನು ಹಾಳುಮಾಡುತ್ತಾನೆ; ತಿಳುವಳಿಕೆಯ ಮೂಲಕ ನೀತಿವಂತನು ಬಿಡಿಸಲ್ಪ ಡುವನು.
An hypocrite with [his] mouth destroyeth his neighbour: but through knowledge shall the just be delivered.
ನೀತಿವಂತರು ಚೆನ್ನಾಗಿದ್ದರೆ ಪಟ್ಟಣವು ಉಲ್ಲಾಸಿಸುತ್ತದೆ; ದುಷ್ಟರು ನಾಶವಾದರೆ ಆರ್ಭಟವಿರು ತ್ತದೆ.
When it goeth well with the righteous, the city rejoiceth: and when the wicked perish, [there is] shouting.
ಯಥಾರ್ಥವಂತರ ಆಶೀರ್ವಾದದಿಂದ ಪಟ್ಟ ಣವು ಹೆಚ್ಚಿಸಲ್ಪಡುತ್ತದೆ. ದುಷ್ಟರ ಬಾಯಿಂದ ಅದು ಕೆಡವಲ್ಪಡುತ್ತದೆ.
By the blessing of the upright the city is exalted: but it is overthrown by the mouth of the wicked.
ಜ್ಞಾನವಿಲ್ಲದವನು ತನ್ನ ನೆರೆಯ ವನನ್ನು ಹೀನೈಸುತ್ತಾನೆ; ವಿವೇಕಿಯು ಮೌನವಾಗಿರು ತ್ತಾನೆ.
He that is void of wisdom despiseth his neighbour: but a man of understanding holdeth his peace.
ಚಾಡಿಕೋರನು ರಹಸ್ಯಗಳನ್ನು ಬಹಿರಂಗ ಪಡಿಸುತ್ತಾನೆ. ನಂಬಿಕೆಯ ಆತ್ಮವುಳ್ಳವನು ಸಂಗತಿಯನ್ನು ಮುಚ್ಚುತ್ತಾನೆ.
A talebearer revealeth secrets: but he that is of a faithful spirit concealeth the matter.
ಆಲೋಚನೆ ಇಲ್ಲದಿರುವಲ್ಲಿ ಜನರು ಬೀಳುತ್ತಾರೆ; ಸಲಹೆಗಾರರ ಸಮೂಹದಲ್ಲಿ ಭದ್ರತೆ ಇದೆ.
Where no counsel [is], the people fall: but in the multitude of counsellors [there is] safety.
ಅನ್ಯನಿಗೆ ಹೊಣೆಯಾಗುವವನು ಹಾನಿಗೆ ಗುರಿಯಾಗುತ್ತಾನೆ; ಹೊಣೆಗಾರತ್ವವನ್ನು ಹಗೆಮಾಡಿ ಕೊಳ್ಳುವವನು ಭದ್ರವಾಗಿರುವನು.
He that is surety for a stranger shall smart [for it:] and he that hateth suretiship is sure.
ಕೃಪೆಯುಳ್ಳ ಸ್ತ್ರೀಯು ತನ್ನ ಗೌರವವನ್ನು ಕಾಪಾಡಿಕೊಳ್ಳುತ್ತಾಳೆ. ಬಲಿಷ್ಠರು ಐಶ್ವರ್ಯವನ್ನು ಕಾಪಾಡಿಕೊಳ್ಳುತ್ತಾರೆ.
A gracious woman retaineth honour: and strong [men] retain riches.
ಕರುಣೆಯುಳ್ಳವನು ತನ್ನ ಪ್ರಾಣಕ್ಕೆ ಒಳ್ಳೇದನ್ನು ಮಾಡಿಕೊಳ್ಳುತ್ತಾನೆ; ಕಠೋರಿಯು ತನ್ನ ಶರೀರವನ್ನು ಬಾಧಿಸಿಕೊಳ್ಳುತ್ತಾನೆ.
The merciful man doeth good to his own soul: but [he that is] cruel troubleth his own flesh.
ದುಷ್ಟನು ಮೋಸದ ಕೃತ್ಯವನ್ನು ಮಾಡುತ್ತಾನೆ; ನೀತಿಯನ್ನು ಬಿತ್ತುವವನಿಗೆ ನಿಸ್ಸಂದೇಹ ವಾಗಿ ಬಹುಮಾನವಿರುವದು.
The wicked worketh a deceitful work: but to him that soweth righteousness [shall be] a sure reward.
ನೀತಿಯು ಜೀವಕ್ಕೆ ಒಲಿಯುತ್ತದೆ; ಕೆಟ್ಟದ್ದನ್ನು ಹಿಂದಟ್ಟುವವನು ತನ್ನ ಮರ ಣಕ್ಕೆ ಹಿಂದಟ್ಟುತ್ತಾನೆ.
As righteousness [tendeth] to life: so he that pursueth evil [pursueth it] to his own death.
ಮೂರ್ಖ ಹೃದಯವುಳ್ಳವರು ಕರ್ತನಿಗೆ ಅಸಹ್ಯವಾದವರು; ತಮ್ಮ ಮಾರ್ಗದಲ್ಲಿ ಯಥಾರ್ಥವಾಗಿ ಇರುವವರು ಆತನ ಆನಂದವಾಗಿ ದ್ದಾರೆ.
They that are of a froward heart [are] abomination to the LORD: but [such as are] upright in [their] way [are] his delight.
ಕೈಗೆ ಕೈ ಕೊಟ್ಟರೂ ದುಷ್ಟನು ಶಿಕ್ಷಿಸಲ್ಪಡದೆ ಇರುವದಿಲ್ಲ; ನೀತಿವಂತರ ವಂಶವು ತಪ್ಪಿಸಿಕೊಳ್ಳುವದು.
[Though] hand [join] in hand, the wicked shall not be unpunished: but the seed of the righteous shall be delivered.
ಹಂದಿಯ ಮೂಗಿನಲ್ಲಿರುವ ಬಂಗಾರದ ಒಡವೆಯು ಹೇಗೋ ಹಾಗೆಯೇ ವಿವೇಕವಿಲ್ಲದ ಸುಂದರವಾದ ಸ್ತ್ರೀಯು ಇರುವಳು.
[As] a jewel of gold in a swine’s snout, [so is] a fair woman which is without discretion.
ನೀತಿವಂತರು ಒಳ್ಳೇಯದನ್ನು ಮಾತ್ರ ಅಪೇಕ್ಷಿಸುತ್ತಾರೆ; ದುಷ್ಟರ ಅಪೇಕ್ಷೆಯು ಕೋಪ ವಾಗಿದೆ.
The desire of the righteous [is] only good: [but] the expectation of the wicked [is] wrath.
ಚದುರಿಸಿದಾಗ್ಯೂ ವೃದ್ಧಿಯಾಗುತ್ತದೆ; ಬೇಕಾದದ್ದಕ್ಕಿಂತ ಹೆಚ್ಚಿನದನ್ನು ಬಿಗಿಹಿಡಿಯುವಂಥದ್ದು ಬಡತನಕ್ಕೆ ನಡಿಸುತ್ತದೆ.
There is that scattereth, and yet increaseth; and [there is] that withholdeth more than is meet, but [it tendeth] to poverty.
ಉದಾರಿಯು ಪುಷ್ಠನಾಗು ವನು; ನೀರು ಹಾಯಿಸುವವನಿಗೆ ನೀರು ದೊರೆಯು ವದು.
The liberal soul shall be made fat: and he that watereth shall be watered also himself.
ಧಾನ್ಯವನ್ನು ಬಿಗಿಹಿಡಿಯುವವನನ್ನು ಜನರು ಶಪಿಸುವರು; ಅದನ್ನು ಮಾರುವವನ ತಲೆಯ ಮೇಲೆ ಆಶೀರ್ವಾದವು ನೆಲೆಯಾಗಿರುವದು.
He that withholdeth corn, the people shall curse him: but blessing [shall be] upon the head of him that selleth [it].
ಒಳ್ಳೇದನ್ನು ಸೂಕ್ಷ್ಮವಾಗಿ ಹುಡುಕುವವನು ದಯೆಯನ್ನು ಹೊಂದು ತ್ತಾನೆ; ಆದರೆ ಕೇಡನ್ನು ಹುಡುಕುವವನಿಗೆ ಕೇಡೇ ಆಗುವದು.
He that diligently seeketh good procureth favour: but he that seeketh mischief, it shall come unto him.
ತನ್ನ ಐಶ್ವರ್ಯವನ್ನು ನಂಬಿದವನು ಬಿದ್ದುಹೋಗುವನು; ನೀತಿವಂತರು ಕೊಂಬೆಯ ಹಾಗೆ ಚಿಗುರುವರು.
He that trusteth in his riches shall fall: but the righteous shall flourish as a branch.
ತನ್ನ ಮನೆಯವರನ್ನು ಬಾಧಿಸುವವನು ಗಾಳಿಯನ್ನು ಬಾಧ್ಯವಾಗಿ ಹೊಂದುವನು; ಜ್ಞಾನವುಳ್ಳ ಹೃದಯದವನಿಗೆ ಅವಿವೇಕಿಯು ಸೇವಕನಾಗಿರುವನು.
He that troubleth his own house shall inherit the wind: and the fool [shall be] servant to the wise of heart.
ನೀತಿವಂತರ ಫಲವು ಜೀವವೃಕ್ಷ; ಆತ್ಮಗಳನ್ನು ಗೆಲ್ಲು ವವನು ಜ್ಞಾನಿಯಾಗಿದ್ದಾನೆ.ಇಗೋ, ಭೂಮಿಯ ಮೇಲೆ ನೀತಿವಂತರು ಪ್ರತಿಫಲವನ್ನು ಹೊಂದುವರು; ದುಷ್ಟನೂ ಪಾಪಿಯೂ ಎಷ್ಟೋ ಹೆಚ್ಚಾಗಿ ಪ್ರತಿಫಲ ವನ್ನು ಹೊಂದುತ್ತಾರೆ.
The fruit of the righteous [is] a tree of life; and he that winneth souls [is] wise.
ಇಗೋ, ಭೂಮಿಯ ಮೇಲೆ ನೀತಿವಂತರು ಪ್ರತಿಫಲವನ್ನು ಹೊಂದುವರು; ದುಷ್ಟನೂ ಪಾಪಿಯೂ ಎಷ್ಟೋ ಹೆಚ್ಚಾಗಿ ಪ್ರತಿಫಲ ವನ್ನು ಹೊಂದುತ್ತಾರೆ.
Behold, the righteous shall be recompensed in the earth: much more the wicked and the sinner.
