ಅದನ್ನು ಕೇಳುವವನು ನಿನ್ನನ್ನು ಅವಮಾನಕ್ಕೆ ಗುರಿಪಡಿಸಿಯಾನು, ನಿನ್ನ ಅಪಕೀರ್ತಿಯು ಹೋಗದೆ ಇದ್ದೀತು.

8ನಿನ್ನ ನೆರೆಯವನು ನಿನ್ನನ್ನು ಅವಮಾನಕ್ಕೆ ಗುರಿಮಾಡಿದಾಗ ಕಡೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಏನು ಮಾಡಬೇಕೆಂಬದು ನೀನು ತಿಳಿಯ ದಂತೆ ದುಡುಕಿನಿಂದ ಕಲಹಮಾಡುವದಕ್ಕಾಗಿ ಹೋಗ ಬೇಡ.
9ನಿನ್ನ ನೆರೆಯವನೊಂದಿಗೆ ನಿನ್ನ ವ್ಯಾಜ್ಯವನ್ನು ಚರ್ಚಿಸು; ಗುಟ್ಟನ್ನು ಬೇರೊಬ್ಬನಿಗೆ ಹೊರಪಡಿಸಬೇಡ;
10ಅದನ್ನು ಕೇಳುವವನು ನಿನ್ನನ್ನು ಅವಮಾನಕ್ಕೆ ಗುರಿಪಡಿಸಿಯಾನು, ನಿನ್ನ ಅಪಕೀರ್ತಿಯು ಹೋಗದೆ ಇದ್ದೀತು.
11ಸಮಯೋಚಿತವಾದ ಮಾತು ಬೆಳ್ಳಿಯ ಚಿತ್ರಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಬಂಗಾರದ ಸೇಬಿನಂತಿದೆ.
12ಕೇಳುವ ಕಿವಿಗೆ ಜ್ಞಾನಿಯ ಗದರಿಕೆಯು ಹೇಗೋ ಹಾಗೇ ಬಂಗಾ ರದ ಕಿವಿಯ ಓಲೆಯು ಚೊಕ್ಕಬಂಗಾರದ ಆಭರಣ ದಂತಿದೆ.
