ಕರ್ತನು ಚೀಯೋನನ್ನು ಸೆರೆಯಿಂದ ಬಿಡಿಸಿದಾಗ ನಾವು ಕನಸು ಕಂಡ ವರ ಹಾಗಿದ್ದೆವು.
A Song of degrees. When the LORD turned again the captivity of Zion, we were like them that dream.
ಆಗ ನಮ್ಮ ಬಾಯಿ ನಗೆಯಿಂದಲೂ ನಾಲಿಗೆ ಉತ್ಸಾಹ ಧ್ವನಿಯಿಂದಲೂ ತುಂಬಿದ್ದವು; ಆಗ ಅನ್ಯಜನರು--ಕರ್ತನು ಇವರಿಗೆ ಮಹತ್ಕಾರ್ಯಗಳನ್ನು ಮಾಡಿದ್ದಾನೆ ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿದರು.
Then was our mouth filled with laughter, and our tongue with singing: then said they among the heathen, The LORD hath done great things for them.
ಕರ್ತನು ನಮಗೆ ಮಹತ್ಕಾರ್ಯಗಳನ್ನು ಮಾಡಿದ್ದಾನೆ; ಆದಕಾರಣ ನಾವು ಸಂತೋಷಿಸುತ್ತಾ ಇದ್ದೇವೆ.
The LORD hath done great things for us; [whereof] we are glad.
ಓ ಕರ್ತನೇ, ದಕ್ಷಿಣದಲ್ಲಿರುವ ಹೊಳೆಗಳ ಹಾಗೆ ಸೆರೆಯಿಂದ ನಮ್ಮನ್ನು ತಿರಿಗಿ ಬರಮಾಡು.
Turn again our captivity, O LORD, as the streams in the south.
ಕಣ್ಣೀರಿ ನಿಂದ ಬಿತ್ತುವವರು ಉತ್ಸಾಹದಲ್ಲಿ ಕೊಯ್ಯುವರು. ಅಮೂಲ್ಯವಾದ ಬೀಜವನ್ನು ಹೊತ್ತುಕೊಂಡು ಅಳುತ್ತಾ ಹೋಗುವವನುತನ್ನ ಸಿವುಡುಗಳನ್ನು ತರುವವನಾಗಿ, ನಿಸ್ಸಂದೇಹವಾಗಿ ಉತ್ಸಾಹ ಧ್ವನಿಯಿಂದ ತಿರುಗಿ ಬರುವನು.
They that sow in tears shall reap in joy.
ತನ್ನ ಸಿವುಡುಗಳನ್ನು ತರುವವನಾಗಿ, ನಿಸ್ಸಂದೇಹವಾಗಿ ಉತ್ಸಾಹ ಧ್ವನಿಯಿಂದ ತಿರುಗಿ ಬರುವನು.
He that goeth forth and weepeth, bearing precious seed, shall doubtless come again with rejoicing, bringing his sheaves [with him].
