ಈ ಉಪದ್ರವಗಳಿಂದ ಕೊಲ್ಲಲ್ಪಡದೆ ಉಳಿದ ಮನುಷ್ಯರು ದೆವ್ವಗಳನ್ನೂ ಬಂಗಾರದ ವಿಗ್ರಹಗಳನ್ನೂ ಬೆಳ್ಳಿಯ, ಹಿತ್ತಾಳೆಯ, ಕಲ್ಲಿನ ಮತ್ತು ಮರದ ವಿಗ್ರಹ ಗಳನ್ನೂ ಅಂದರೆ ನೋಡಲಾರದ ಕೇಳಲಾರದ ಇಲ್ಲವೆ ನಡೆಯಲಾರದವುಗಳನ್ನು ಆರಾಧಿಸದಂತೆ ಮಾನ ಸಾಂತರಪಡದೆ ಹೋದರು.ಇದಲ್ಲದೆ ತಾವು ಮಾಡುತ್ತಿದ್ದ ಕೊಲೆ ಮಾಟ ಜಾರತ್ವ ಕಳ್ಳತನ ಇವುಗಳಿ ಗಾಗಿಯೂ ಮಾನಸಾಂತರಪಡಲಿಲ್ಲ.

King James Version (KJV): And the rest of the men which were not killed by these plagues yet repented not of the works of their hands, that they should not worship devils, and idols of gold, and silver, and brass, and stone, and of wood: which neither can see, nor hear, nor walk:
World English Bible (WEB): The rest of mankind, who were not killed with these plagues, didn’t repent of the works of their hands, that they wouldn’t worship demons, and the idols of gold, and of silver, and of brass, and of stone, and of wood, which can’t see, hear, or walk.

18ಅವುಗಳ ಬಾಯಿಂದ ಹೊರಟ ಆ ಬೆಂಕಿ ಹೊಗೆ ಗಂಧಕ ಈ ಮೂರರಿಂದ ಮನುಷ್ಯರಲ್ಲಿ ಮೂರನೇ ಭಾಗವು ಹತವಾಯಿತು.
19ಅವುಗಳ ಬಲವು ಅವುಗಳ ಬಾಯಲ್ಲಿಯೂ ಬಾಲಗಳಲ್ಲಿಯೂ ಇರುತ್ತದೆ. ಅವುಗಳ ಬಾಲಗಳು ತಲೆಗಳುಳ್ಳವುಗಳಾಗಿ ಸರ್ಪಗಳ ಹಾಗೆ ಇದ್ದವು. ಅವುಗಳಿಂದ ಅವು ಕೇಡನ್ನುಂಟುಮಾಡು ತ್ತವೆ.
20ಈ ಉಪದ್ರವಗಳಿಂದ ಕೊಲ್ಲಲ್ಪಡದೆ ಉಳಿದ ಮನುಷ್ಯರು ದೆವ್ವಗಳನ್ನೂ ಬಂಗಾರದ ವಿಗ್ರಹಗಳನ್ನೂ ಬೆಳ್ಳಿಯ, ಹಿತ್ತಾಳೆಯ, ಕಲ್ಲಿನ ಮತ್ತು ಮರದ ವಿಗ್ರಹ ಗಳನ್ನೂ ಅಂದರೆ ನೋಡಲಾರದ ಕೇಳಲಾರದ ಇಲ್ಲವೆ ನಡೆಯಲಾರದವುಗಳನ್ನು ಆರಾಧಿಸದಂತೆ ಮಾನ ಸಾಂತರಪಡದೆ ಹೋದರು.ಇದಲ್ಲದೆ ತಾವು ಮಾಡುತ್ತಿದ್ದ ಕೊಲೆ ಮಾಟ ಜಾರತ್ವ ಕಳ್ಳತನ ಇವುಗಳಿ ಗಾಗಿಯೂ ಮಾನಸಾಂತರಪಡಲಿಲ್ಲ.
