And it came to pass at the end of three years, that two of the servants of Shimei ran away unto Achish son of Maachah king of Gath. And they told Shimei, saying, Behold, thy servants [be] in Gath.

At the end of three years, two of Shimei’s slaves ran away to Achish, son of Maacah, king of Gath. They told Shimei, saying, “Behold, your slaves are in Gath.”

3. 39മൂന്നു സംവത്സരം കഴിഞ്ഞപ്പോൾ ശിമെയിയുടെ രണ്ടു അടിമകൾ മാഖയുടെ മകനായ ആഖീശ് എന്ന ഗത്ത്‌ രാജാവിന്റെ അടുക്കൽ ഓടിപ്പോയി; തന്റെ അടിമകൾ ഗത്തിൽ ഉണ്ടെന്നു ശിമെയിക്കു അറിവുകിട്ടി.
4. 40അപ്പോൾ ശിമെയി എഴുന്നേറ്റു കഴുതെക്കു കോപ്പിട്ടു പുറപ്പെട്ടു അടിമകളെ അന്വേഷിപ്പാൻ ഗത്തിൽ ആഖീശിന്റെ അടുക്കൽ പോയി; അങ്ങനെ ശിമെയി ചെന്നു അടിമകളെ ഗത്തിൽനിന്നു കൊണ്ടുവന്നു.
5. 41ശിമെയി യെരൂശലേം വിട്ടു ഗത്തിൽ പോയി മടങ്ങിവന്നു എന്നു ശലോമോന്നു അറിവു കിട്ടി.
