പിന്നെ നിനക്കു നഷ്ടമായ്പോയ സൈന്യത്തിന്നു സമമായോരു സൈന്യത്തെയും കുതിരപ്പടെക്കു സമമായ കുതിരപ്പടയെയും രഥങ്ങൾക്കു സമമായ രഥങ്ങളെയും ഒരുക്കിക്കൊൾക; എന്നിട്ടു നാം സമഭൂമിയിൽവെച്ചു അവരോടു യുദ്ധം ചെയ്ക; നാം അവരെ തോല്പിക്കും നിശ്ചയം. അവൻ അവരുടെ വാക്കു കേട്ടു അങ്ങനെ തന്നേ ചെയ്തു.

Pinne ninakku nashtamaaypoya sainyattinnu samamaayoru sainyatteyum kutirappatekku samamaaya kutirappatayeyum rathangngalkku samamaaya rathangngaleyum orukkikkolka; ennittu naam samabhoomiyilvechchu avarotu yuddham cheyka; naam avare tolpikkum nishchayam. King James Version (KJV): And number thee an army, like the army that thou hast lost, horse for horse, and chariot for chariot: and we will fight against them in the plain, [and] surely we shall be stronger than they. And he hearkened unto their voice, and did so.

26പിറ്റെ ആണ്ടിൽ ബെൻ-ഹദദ് അരാമ്യരെ എണ്ണിനോക്കി യിസ്രായേലിനോടു യുദ്ധം ചെയ്‌വാൻ അഫേക്കിന്നു പുറപ്പെട്ടുവന്നു.
27യിസ്രായേല്യരെയും എണ്ണിനോക്കി; അവർ ഭക്ഷണപദാർത്ഥങ്ങൾ എടുത്തു അവരുടെ നേരെ പുറപ്പെട്ടു; യിസ്രായേല്യർ ആട്ടിൻകുട്ടികളുടെ രണ്ടു ചെറിയ കൂട്ടംപോലെ അവരുടെ നേരെ പാളയം ഇറങ്ങി; അരാമ്യരോ ദേശത്തു നിറഞ്ഞിരുന്നു.
