ആകയാൽ നീ ചെയ്യുന്നതു ഫെലിസ്ത്യപ്രഭുക്കന്മാർക്കു അനിഷ്ടമായി തോന്നാതിരിക്കേണ്ടതിന്നു സമാധാനത്തോടെ മടങ്ങിപ്പൊയ്ക്കൊൾക എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.

- 8ദാവീദ് ആഖീശിനോടു: എന്നാൽ ഞാൻ എന്തു ചെയ്തു? എന്റെ യജമാനനായ രാജാവിന്റെ ശത്രുക്കളുടെ നേരെ ഞാൻ ചെന്നു പൊരുതുകൂടാതവണ്ണം നിന്നോടുകൂടെ ഇരുന്ന നാൾമുതൽ ഇന്നുവരെ നീ അടിയനിൽ എന്തു കണ്ടിരിക്കുന്നു എന്നു ചോദിച്ചു.
- 9ആഖീശ് ദാവീദിനോടു: എനിക്കറിയാം; എനിക്കു നിന്നെ ഒരു ദൈവദൂതനെപ്പോലെ ബോധിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു; എന്നാൽ ഫെലിസ്ത്യ പ്രഭുക്കന്മാർ: അവൻ ഞങ്ങളോടുകൂടെ യുദ്ധത്തിന്നു പോരരുതു എന്നു പറഞ്ഞിരിക്കുന്നു.
